That bell is not an accurate representation of what you will get.
TheMeuh 26.07.2020
Pro's
-Perfect budget way of getting a better feeling while practicing
-The only series I could find where you can get additional separate cymbals. (splash, china, smaller hihat and anything in this set)
-Sound isn't the focus for a practice cymbal but the're not bad at al.
-Most of the sound remaining is of a frequency that hardly passes a decently insulated wall, I still wouldn't play them in an apartment though.

Con's
-The hihat can get a bit loud,
-The bell of the ride is nearly flat. I call the pictures on this page, and especially the video's you can find by Thomann false advertising. The current stock (they checked for me) all have the same flat bell. I find it hard to play and it sounds nothing like the video on the separate ride page.

Overall I recommend most of the cymbals in this set, but in my opinion the ride is just not what is advertised here.

TS
A great choice for reducing volume, at a great price.
The Sunset Kid 11.03.2023
Having multiple kits that require reduced volume, I've always gone with pads as a quick, cheap option, but I decided to spend a bit more with reduced volume heads and reduced volume cymbals, so I can include that as a future option if needed.

These cymbals will always draw comparisons to the more expensive Zildjian and Sabian versions, but I believe these are the better choice, unless money really is no concern.

The build quality is great, they're aesthetically pleasing, and the price is just too good to pass up, especially if you compare the price of the set compared to buying them individually.

In terms of sound, they're really quiet, (I tried them out at one in the morning with no problems!), and they should be played with good, balanced sticks; as the stick attack is almost as loud as the ring of the cymbal itself. They have a satisfying and complete sound. There are no real awkward overtones or nasty metallic buzzes, with the ride cymbal sounding particularly smooth, with the smaller cymbals being slightly more tinny.

The only stand out negative, are the logos. This is an issue on most Millennium/Zultan cymbals, even on the most expensive 'Zultan Heritage' range. They use some kind of ink and process that flakes off pretty easily, even without striking the logo with the sticks. The cymbals arrived with the logos looking slightly scuffed already, so don't expect the logos to last, even if you handle the cymbals carefully.

Overall, very happy!

Skeptical of quietness, but happily proved wrong
Lazlo Panaflax 07.04.2022
Swapped out my rubber cymbals from my old Yamaha DTXtremeIII, because I wanted better feel. I took a punt on these because they were so cheap. I am so happy I took the plunge:

Very quiet: they can seem a bit loud on playing, but the sound dissipates very quickly: kids cannot hear them in their bedroom directly above.

Great feel: very light because of lack of material, but overwhelming real feel when compared to rubber pads. A true game game changer in the evolution of quiet drum tech.

Great looks: aesthetically, they look fantastic, even for a budget product. Why would you even bother going with the more expensive Zildjian, other than branding snobbery.

Amazing budget set
brenyooo 02.01.2021
When lockdown kicked in i decided to invest in a set of these (with some mesh heads) and set up the kit in the attic. Just for reference i'm a heavy handed hard rock drummer for 15 years.

Volume: I find it very good, it's much quieter than my normal (medium and heavy) cymbals but that's expected.. No complaints from the neighbours over 6 months.
Feel: Not bad at all, perfectly playable.
Tone: If you keep in mind that these are not for your studio recording, i think it's fine. A little harsher, a little more high frequencies, less body. As expected. Only the HH feels a bit too harsh for my ears.
Durability: No problem over 6 months with my heavy hands.

I'd recommend these to anyone who wants to have a set of quiet cymbals.. You can go for the big brands and pay 3x the money, get 1-2 dB noise reduction and a touch more tone.. but i don't see the point as i'll only use them for practice in the attic and maybe maybe an occasional acoustic gig.

Great Practice Cymbals
MIsaac16 10.03.2020
I live in America and have been looking for an alternative to the much more expensive Zildijian Low Volume or Sabian Quiet Tone cymbals. These are not only much cheaper but they rival zildjian and sabian in quality and sound. On my practice set at home I used electronic plastic cymbals but I finally decided to switch to low volume cymbals to get that feel that I was missing using electronic cymbals. These have great tonality and weight to them. They rebound and play like real cymbals. The crashes sound nice and the ride has a nice ping and bell sound. My only complaint are the hi hats. They are fairly loud. If you closed your eyes and heard them you might mistake them for regular acoustic cymbals. Not a huge deal considering my set up but for some people it might be. Other than that I am completely satisfied with my purchase. For the price and quality, these cymbals can not be beat. Thomann has just gained a new loyal customer.

Me and my neighbours love them
Liam91 04.05.2022
I should have bought these a long time ago! They feel great. Sound is perfect for the kit if have to practise on in the garage.
And they actually sound really good too! Can achieve similar effects (hi hat splashes/ bell hits) like you would with normal cymbals. I feel every drummer should have a set of these!

I don't see why you would buy the more expensive ones
Petersolod 05.07.2020
These cymbals are quiet, do the job very well. Very important : THEY ARE THE REAL SIZE! Not like other manufacturer's (we all know who I'm talking about) 13" hi-hats, 14" crashes, and 18'' rides (Yikes!). When you practice at home the size of the cymbals is one of the most important things to consider. The cons: hi-hats are the loudest. You can somewhat mitigate that by putting a small towel or a cloth between them though, also because of the lighter weight the ride especially but also the crashes swing more than the real thing. Aside from that, very satisfied, will recommend these to anyone who for some reason can't practice on the real cymbals, these come very very close to them. And also you get an extra 18" crash, how cool is that!

Beginner drummer feedback
ChikoBG 21.04.2021
The sound is great, it is not as good as regular cymbals but still, this is the best bang for the buck on the market right now. I wish the ride bell was bigger, but it would have been much louder in my opinion, still a good bell sound for practice. Nothing much to say about crashes, they sound great in my opinion. The hi-hat is a bit loud, this is coming from a person who is living in an apartment, but if you are in a house, you won't disturb anyone. Highly recommend them!
