Versatile USB Controller
Ronsthebg 21.06.2020
I purchased the Atom to work with my Studio One 4 Pro DAW software and really like the workflow and versatile pads. The Atom has easily assignable pads for various sound sets. The pads are perfectly responsive to my choice of midi plugins. There are several banks as well.

One down side is that the Atom does not have a power switch and remains on as long as the PC is on. It doesn't cause any issues or use much energy. Hopefully, there is a fix coming from Presonus. However, to avoid connecting and disconnecting the Atom and taking a chance and having a loose USB input, I just shout down my PC at night. You could use a switchable USB Hub to solve this issues as well. I might do that in the future. Never-the-less, I really like this controller and would recommend it to anyone looking for this type of device.

PreSonus Atom
who what where 23.04.2021
All the videos regarding setting up the Atom are little misleading with regard to plug and go. You must make sure the firmware is bang up to date or it will not work and l found l had to restart the system for it all to kick in. But once this was done it all works brilliantly and does exactly what l want it to do. I would recommend it.

k
just not right

The pads are decent, they play/respond well. The rotary encoders though- they are as poor as I've come across ever. The response of the encoders is really slow and makes them impossible to use. A lot of features under a shift button also doesn't make it an intuitive unit for me. Comes with Studio One Artist though which is a great software. The unit doesn't feel as sturdy as I'd hoped.
