Not That Good
Playplay 21.12.2021
I read every review of this microphone on here, and I thought I was going to get something with better sound quality. However, let me tell you. The sound quality isn't that good. It's usable, but I don't think you wanna record something that's going to be upfront with this microphone.

However, for the price, it's still a good microphone and it feels like you get more than what you pay for. Let's say it's worth perhaps 50% more.

The build quality is nice, and the box it comes with is perfect as a carrying case.

The first time I tried it, I thought it sounded so bad and I said to myself "I'm never ever using this". Though, after some time, I changed my mind.

I found a use for it when recording background vocals, and on other tasks, where I may be risking breaking my more expensive microphones.

The bottom line is. If you wanna get into music production, and think you can get away with using only this microphone. Forget it. If you want this microphone as a compliment to your other microphones, go for it!

T
basically a t.bone mb75
Twansmusic 25.05.2021
Well it looks like a t.bone, comes in the same case as the t.bone, has the exact same body dimensions as the t.bone...

I do hear a difference between the mics and this one doesn't come with a cable but what we have to remember here is that the t.bone costs 10 euro's more and the whole deal with t.bone was the fact they dont have to use distribution so we get the same thing for cheaper. But if behringer WITH distribution costs us only 20 euros. It leaves me wondering if Thomann is selling us MB75s which are essentially behringer SL75C's that are probably made for about 5 euro's...

Would love to hear more from Thomann and Behringer from this.
A few years ago these were both unique mics and we had a choice of what budget 57 we wanted, now it looks like both budget options are essentially the same, scooped but still nice sounding microphone.

Let's see what the brands have to say about this.

Using it on a snare
Vadim The Drummer 06.12.2021
My main snare mic, which I bought as a temporary replacement for a broken sm57. Guess what - I never repaired the sm57!
Great mic - great value!

Something you don't mind throwing around/beating up
Kevlanco 16.01.2023
I originally bought a few of these mics to record drums, but found they had plenty of use for backing vocals with rock bands for bar gigs and smaller venue shows. I haven't done a direct comparison between this mic and the sm57 that it draws its design from, but its a completely serviceable mic for dirt cheap.

R
Surprisingly good
Rossignole 09.08.2021
I wasn't sure what to expect from this mic but (a) it seems very solid and well build and (b) for the price you really can't go wrong ! Have used it so far in a home studio environment in front of a guitar can equipped with a 12" Celestion Rocket and the results were very good indeed. It seems pretty much identical to an SM57 or the T-Bone equivalent but at a price that's hard to believe. Comes in a nice sold case with mic stand adaptor (which has a removable internal thread) so an added bonus. There's nothing not to like about these mics.

Extraordinary value for money
Oskar Wroniewicz 08.12.2020
I bought this mic because I wanted a decent sounding one for recording heavy guitars at home. Having been owning the Behringer UMC202HD interface for some time (which I had very positive experience with, unlike Focusrite Solo) and after watching a number of comparisons with Shure SM57 I had quite high expectations regarding this mic and it has more than stood up to them.

Build quality:
Immediately after taking it out of the box I was shocked by the quality. The metal chassis feels great in the hand at it has quite a bit weight to it.

Sound:
I use it to mic my Blackstar HT5 mkII combo with a copy of Diezel VH4 pedal in the FX loop and after double tracking and adding some EQ I get really high quality sound out of this setup. I place the mic around the cap edge of the speaker and I get quite a balanced, articulate sound this way.

Overall, I think this mic is an absolute steal! Good luck finding a microphone that offers better bang for your buck than this one.

perfect for live event
devilzek666 06.01.2023
perfect for the price, I use it pretty much every weekend at live shows in a small venue and no problems at all, isn't that far off from a sm57, and due to the price is awesome!
