Solid linear mixing with an oft overlooked trick up its sleeve
As a mixer it works a charm, signal quality is more than sufficient for most uses - gets used in every patch without fail. A key feature that it seems most don't realise is there - channel 1 gives a constant cv 0-5v when nothing is plugged in, so can be used to offest cvs that are being mixed in channels 2-4. Most people I've spoken to don't seem to realise that feature is there - neither did I till I read the manual (read it out of curiosity I should add, other than this feature the module is entirely self explanatory).

Excellent utility mixer
Great quality build as always and a beautiful new panel design as part of Doepfer's 'Vintage' series.
Pots are quite stiff which can be difficult if you want to quickly change a setting but this is to be expected with all of Doepfer's modules.
I use this as a final mixer before output for mixing audio as I found the 138b tended to distort at higher settings.

Great Fun
Seriously, this little unit is great fun. MIxing modulations to create wierd and wonderful movements and mixing of envelopes to create unique sounding filters. It's important to keep in mind that if you want to mix audio signals you will find the 138b the better mixer I get muddled sometimes but I am new to the world of modular so these cheap but useful modules are vital for my progress.

4-1
Simple and to the point. Nicely engineered as you'd expect from Doepfer.
Four individual ins can be mixed into one out and everything works perfectly.
Recommended.

It's great, I'll soon need another two of these.
