Almost incredible for me as a casual player

There was a Katana MK2 100 HEAD, plus a 1x12 cab from PALMER, so I put the Eminence Legend 1258 inside. I am not a pro and play this in an apartment building, so not at very loud volumes. The sounds are so great, like better, fuller, rounder and with all sorts of frequencies, which are not to be heard on cheaper combos. Also, importantly, no "ice-pick" at high treble tones.

The clean is so incredible, that I can not "eat" enough of the sound. Currently I have 3 electrics. The sound from the Legend 1258 is great for all of these:

The Fender AmPro Strat displays a full set of "strat" tones across the whole spectrum. Clean, strong Strat, no compromise.

Gibson DC Special (Tribute) with p90s has those unmistakable p90 sounds plus an incredibly strong bottom line. Have to hear it, to believe it.

Cort G300 with SeymourD SH2 and SH4 give a wide palette of cleans and also pedal-distorted tones. A different guitar, showing its versatility in full.

I can recommed this speaker to everyone as a replacement speaker for combos, I would also try it in a Fender Deluxe. And of course, for 12 inch cabs, one can not go wrong here with the Eminence Legend 1258. Love it!

in the beginning there it was a compromise.....

Well, what sould i say. Everyone does it sometimes, instead of saving money a few weeks, you need to buy something cheap now :D
I built a Thiele Guitar Cabinet by myself and my money was gone. So I decided to buy this speaker. It was cheap and the critics were okay.
It came out, the speaker isn't as bad as i thought. You get a very smooth warm sound with very defined highs. I would compare it to a v30 a bit, but not that harsh.
Nowadays i have a few very nice speakers (mesa c90, evm 12s) anyway the speaker is in use. It hasn't the character i like the most on guitar speaker, but gives a nice alternative when i need a slightly different sound for recordings.
The build quality is good and this thing isn't that heavy. It didn't need a long time to shakedown the cone. It sounded really nice very early.
If you need a cheap speaker that sounds nice vor a lot of sounds and lasts a bit more power, this could be your speaker.

Amazing speaker. Suits perfectly for my cabinet design. The box that came in is very light and secure. And the sound with 8 ohms is perfect for the midtones that Im looking for.

Totally recommended

A
Great driver

I bought this to try with 60s style fender amps, after I heard that Victoria amps now favour this driver in their 60s-clones. I found it had a nice character without the raspy breakup that the Jensens can have, and I would recommend this model, especially for this price
