Solid mouthpiece!

Great piece! Plays with very strong intonation and evenness throughout the horn. If you're use to playing an Otto Link size 8 then this mouthpiece will definitely play similar in terms of size. Only thing that was tedious was finding a right size ligature to fit the mouthpiece. I've noticed that alto ligatures are a better fit for these kinds of pieces since they have a slim profile.

Das Francois Louis spricht gut an. Der Ton ist eher hell und kräftig. Die Ansprache ist über das ganze Instrument gut, stark in den obersten Lagen. Tiefe Töne müssen je nach Spielart und Stück (vor allem bei Sprüngen) gut stabilisiert werden, um nicht den Kern zu verlieren. Ich persönliche finde es gut für Jazz, Pop, Rock etc. Im klassischen Bereich kann es zu kräftig sein, lässt sich aber mit Übung zähmen und kontrollieren. Je nach Blattwahl kann der Sound nochmals variiert werden (Matter-heller). Ich persönlich habe ein Mundstück für Jazz und Klassik (prüfungsbedingt) gesucht. An sich eine schwierige bis unmögliche Sache. Allerdings finde ich persönlich, dass man mit diesem Mundstück einen Kompromiss eingeht.

Der Sound ist gut, aber nicht so weich im unteren Register, wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte für Kautschuk. Im oberen Register auch etwas zu scharf für meinen Geschmack.
Kommt für mich nicht an die Eleganz meines alten Otto Link aus Metall (!) heran.
Die Vorstellung Kautschuk sei weicher im Sound musste ich korrigieren (für mich).

Ich wollte nach 20 Jahren mal was anderes ausprobieren aber ich bleibe dabei.

am cumparat acest mustiuc,dupa multi ani am cintat cu otto link metal,jody jazz ebonita dar si metal,si pentru mine este cel mai bun.Foarte bun sunet in registru grav dar si pe acut,se sufla foarte usor cu Vandoren Jazz 2 1/2.Pentru mine este cel mai bun,este echivalent cu Nr.8,deci recomand pentru profesionisti.Multumesc Thomann pentru seriozitate.
