Do not use it
when I used it it ruined my cello bow hair when I asked my Luthier she answered that the solution melted the rosin and it glued the small particles of each hair and made it unable to hold any rosin. it is not suggested to use any solution especially on fresh strings because of the fragility of the hair particles.

I didn?t like this product. I used it two times. It ruined my double bass bow hair.

Ok
When it says "use small amount" - they mean it. Don't overdo it, leave it to dry out well, and powder it afterwards. Simply rosining the hair might not be enough.
