Overpriced
Just like any other Gibson product I've had, this is a very high quality part. However, I don't understand why it costs twice as much as some other alternatives that I've seen. Surely, for people who need a retrofit for one of the vintage Gibsons in their collection, this may be the most period-correct part on the market (after all, it is made by the same company that made the originals), but for the more sensible musicians who just need a quality replacement, there are plenty of cheaper alternatives that aren't in any way inferior to this product. I think its high price is unjustified.

Expensive plastic
Quite expensive for a little bit of plastic to my thoughts, but it includes 4 screws. Also the little plastic fits like a glove on my LP - pay attention when installing, one side is a bit bigger then the other (as it is supposed to be), which cannot be said of the chinese copy the 'official' local Gibson dealer sold me.

Good replacement or upgrade
There's not much to say about this little plastic frame. It's well done, nicely finished, and fits just right. Purchased this for a friend who wanted to replace the cream frames on his Gibson SG. Perfect fit. It's a great way to customize a guitar, be it a Gibson or an Epiphone.

it's whats to be expected
with a gibson orginal part you know what you're getting,fit without any problem and is made of a soft plastic that will bend to the shape of your top

quality was fine,but hole spacings were wrong for my epi sg g400......had to fill existing holes up and start over?
