ST-20 SB Standard

I wanted a budget guitar and my mission was to get as much bang for less buck as possible , did my research i looked at Encore ,Chord, Fazley and Stagg amongst the many but always came back to a Harley i read the feedback and at that price it was worth paying just out of curiosity alone. Well i was not disappointed i was expecting at least a two piece body but it appears to be one lump of wood with a decent amount of width nice satin finish on the back of the neck no skunk stripe but who wants one with the nut correctly fitted and a nice rosewood fretboard .Action out of the box was ok but there was scope for a wee bit more lowering of the strings , no fret buzz and the neck is straight as a dye and there is the added bonus of a double action truss rod .Tuned her up stretch the strings and she stays in ok, tuners do the job well enough and i cannot fault these pick ups for the money pay a bit more go next level up and you get Wilko's .Yes i agree how do they do it Thomann must have the quality control tighter than a badgers chuff i will be be buying more Harley Benton models in the future for sure .In my opinion this guitar is superior to a Squire Bullet which these days is struggling to stay under the magic £100 mark and on a par if not better than an Affinity at 3 times the price .
