Affordable usable electro-acustic
Anonymous 24.03.2017
I am primarily an electric guitar player but it's not always handy to plug in everything and emulate acoustic sound with effect pedal. For this reason I was looking for an affordable acoustic guitar that I could just pick up and play while in the same time I can plug in to get real acoustic sound through my amp (I like to record acoustic back track on my looper and then use electric to solo).

This guitar came as great solution to my requirements. The features for that price are great and it sounds solid.

Use: Everyday playing at home

Pros:
- looks very good (especially from distance where you can't see small imperfections)
- sounds decent
- very affordable price

Cons:
- it came with some small imperfections (don't bother me but they might bother some)
- strings it came with look like they started to rust a little bit
- the neck was very dry (can be easily fixed with some lemon oil)

All in all I think it's a very good guitar for the price. Sounds good both plugged in or not. I would definitely recommend this for beginner wanting electro-acoustic or if classic dreadnought is too thick or if you just don't want to spend too much until you see if you can get into guitar playing.

L
Great for Beginners
Loukoil 06.03.2019
I bought this guitar because I am interested in buying an ovation and since this guitar has a similar body I wanted to see how it feels. Firstly, i recommend you to also buy high quality strings because the stock ones are cheap and after one week of playing they needed change. Moreover, the action was very high on the instrument and needed the appropriate set-up and the frets needed polishing, by the way the above mentioned things are not a great if you consinder the money you are paying.
As far as the fretboard and the neck are concerned, they just feel amazing in your hands! The neck is very smooth to play as well as the fretboard itself! Finally, the body sits well and it is very comfortable.
Long story short, it is a great for beginners and with a few adjustments it can be a very enjoyable guitar to play with.

Very good guitar
Max48 20.05.2013
This guitar has a very clear sound and is of a great quality it is a great guitar and well worth buying it comes with great action and set up and is perfect for both beginners and more experienced players. Also the guitars pickup system is great and its very straightforward and great to use.

the guitar came with a great finish and still now looks really good, when plugged into to the amplifier it also sounds fantastic and is the best acoustic guitar and can even rival some of my electric guitars through an amp.its very easy to restring, it stays in tune as the machine heads are of a good quality. the design is slim but makes about the same volume as a dreadnought guitar when played acoustically.

A
Nice and cheap.
Andrew261 10.02.2015
Again, Thomann did a great job of posting quickly and packing securely.
The guitar itself is, on the whole, fine. The finish on the body is colourful and 'practically' unblemished, there was a slight discrepancy on the decoration around the sound hole but, on a guitar this cheap, who cares?
The neck could could have done with a better finish, a little 'dry', needs more 'slip'. The rear of the guitar is thin but sturdy.
The guitar produces a reasonably decent sound, after changing the cheap strings, and the pick-up is responsive. The electronics give a decent amount of control over the sound allowing a sweet mellow or sharp sound.
All in all, for the price, it is a fine guitar, there are better, but they are a lot more expensive!

S
Misleading Picture
Stephen2321 21.04.2015
Ordered this guitar really just to see what I would get for my £60, and what I got was a Harley Benton. A nice little guitar for the house but that's about it, which is not to say it is a bad guitar. Harley Bentons are well made, sound pretty good and certainly worth the money.
I would CAUTION any prospective buyer that the picture you see is not the paint job you get. The sunburst effect is very watered down with the black and red parts much smaller than is shown as I pointed out to Thomann who offered me a paltry 4 Euro off my next Order, which I politely declined.
To sum up, it is still a good little guitar for £60 which looks OK rather than lovely.

Guitar for a Ovation
Anonymous 04.12.2014
I bought the guitar for a friend, because she is a fan of Ovation, loves narrow guitars, more comfortable for her to play. Basically, the guitar looks nice, the color is exactly such as on the the webshop pictures. In the pictures does not look particularly nice, but the real thing is beautiful. Guitar resonates, loud, "melodic", action is set better than on my Epiphone guitars - wires are low, it is easy to squeeze, does not falter at the fretboard. Frets, for which I was afraid that it will be as sharp as with Mr. on youtube, are sanded and fretboard does not falter if the wire bends up, and therefore he is obviously polished or something. The neck is long and I like the shape, easy to play. Plastic is ok at first glance. Binding is not perfectly perfect, but it is ok. Electronics looks quite "easy". A friend who is a professional musician, he heard the sound of it, says it sounds great, a colleague has also said that she has a great sound.
Okay, I'm happy, I could play on it. I wonder what she would say, playing comparison to the Ovation, because there are two at home.

I had this as my first acoustic guitar and I was surprised by how clean the sound was, action was a little too high and it was a bit broken on the back. otherwise it's a great guitar especially when plugged in.

B
Great for the price
Blitvoslavko 18.08.2023
This guitar is far from perfect, but in this price range you can't even find toys, so it really is great:
Pros:
- Brilliant tuners, never out of tune
- If used with bright steel strings, sound is really bright and punchy
- In this price range also has pickup which sounds solid
- No dead frets, easily playable
- Sunburst finish looks nice

Cons:
- Frets had to be polished, otherwise bending would be impossible on some places
- Roseacer fretboard is not lacquered, so I had to treat it
- Part of plastic on bridge fallen off after half a year, but did not affect playability

Perfect for campfire parties, but I also play it at home.

Cheap and happy
OliverSean 02.03.2016
One of the cheapest guitars on Thomann. I have several Ovations. Bought this for a friend who wanted to try round backs and it's quite good. It's no ovation but it's got a great touch, sound when plugged in is alright and I'd gladly buy it to keep it around the house or for my students.
