Perfect Fit for K&M 18990 Rick
I wasn't sure about spending more money on a two-tier synth extension than I paid for the K&M 18990 Rick stand, but it's a worthy addition given it's build quality and tweakability.
Pros:
The extension wasn't difficult to assemble, albeit a little time consuming adjusting it to suit my setup; however, this process only ever needs to be done once as the arms are easy to extend/retract.
The sockets fit perfectly onto the K&M 18990 stand, and I experienced no inconsistencies with the angle of both slopes.
Cons:
The only issue I had was that the replacement rubber caps, where the groove to make more space on the base stand for the extension were too narrow to slip past the support bars, but this was very easily remedied with a stanley knife by extending the groove.
Overall, an excellent complement to the K&M 18990 Rick synth stand; I definitely recommend the pair.

Static use only
Once eventually set up it's fine. But inexplicably, one of the most important adjustments isn't on a hand bolt but needs tools, so the whole thing is a monumental faff when setting up on stage - the top tier can't be swung over the bottom board without taking it off entirely, and folding the stand up with the extension on is a major exercise in expletives. Get a Proel if you need 2/3 tiers and don't want earache from your crew.

Excellent Tiers
I used this keyboard extender with a K&M 18930 and sometimes with a Hercules (ez-lok) stand. Easily retracted for transport and can be removed easily to fit another stand. I very much satisfied with this purchase.
K&M have excellent build quality.

Amazing!
K&M understand how important it is as a keyboard player, to not only be able to adjust the height of the top keyboard but also the angle!!
This is an excellent, high quality product!!

It works well and once you put it together it is stable enough for a studio or at home.

Versatile and reliable
I've replaced my own two level stand with K&M 18940 with this extension. I have pretty heavy (by modern standards) keys - 15 kg on lower level and 14 kg on the upper. Rock solid and positioned by the angle I needed. Perfect!

Great second tier
This is another example of K&Ms excellent quality. I use this with a K&M 18990 X keyboard stand, Easy to assemble and very sturdy. Easy to fold away and adjust when out on a gig.
