A Magic box

A very useful box,with which you persuade your midi system to do what you want it to. I have two Doepfer Maq 16/3 Analogue sequencers which can send continuous control change data as well as note information, the only problem with the Doepfer is the control channel numbers are not the same on the synths I have, I can programme the midi solutions midi event processer through a P.C, and it allows me to convert the control channels sent by the Doepfers to the control channels that my synths respond to, it works really well.

Der Midi Solutions Event Prozessor Plus wandelt so ziemlich jeden beliebigen Midi Befehl in jeden anderen Midi Befehl um. Er arbeitet super zuverlässig und lässt sich mit Hilfe eines herunterladbaren Programms mit etwas Übung leicht programmieren. Besonders für ältere midi steuerbare Geräte kann er als Schnittstelle zu moderneren Midi Steuergeräten sehr nützlich sein.

Comme déjà dit pour l'Event Processor standard, il s'agit d'un véritable couteau suisse pour les événements MIDI. Pour ma part, je l'utilise pour commander alternativement plusieurs synthés à partir d'un unique clavier maître et mapper les Patch Change mais les utilisations possibles sont très nombreuses. Grâce aux outils et exemples fournis sur le site du constructeur, la programmation est extrêmement simple.
En ce qui concerne l'aspect matériel, le boîtier en plastique a l'air assez robuste et les connecteurs sont costauds. L'alimentation via MIDI est aussi un vrai bonheur. Un excellent produit !

Ich benutze diesen kleinen Prozessor, um meine selbstgebaute Keytar um einige nette Features wie Layering (Upper/Lower-Umschaltung), Controller-Remapping, etc. zu erweitern. Die einfache Programmierung (die Software dazu gibts auf der Herstellerseite), sowie der Betrieb ohne eigene Stromversorgung machen die kleine Box zu meinem ständigen Begleitet auf der Bühne und im Proberaum.
