Not up to standard - don't buy
TobbeM 19.03.2022
At first it looks like really good quality. Yes the paint job is horrible and the backdoor lock is useless but for the price, who cares.

First problem you will notice is that the assembly instructions are bad. If they actually named the parts and put a small sticker or ID on them, that would help a lot with the assembly. Also, as others have complained, there are screws missing. They still have not fixed that. I guess they don't do QA on these products. That is all fine though. I wound have still given it 3-4 stars based on what you get for the price. Why I don't recommend buying this is because it is not 19" standard. You can't fit 19" equipment in it. Mine is about 1mm too narrow. Shelves and other less rigid equipment can be squeezed in but I have a network switch that just won't fit. In other 19" racks, there are a few millimeters to spare so you will easily fit them. Here I had to remove the vertical rack rails from the rack, install the switch and then squeeze it in to the rack back. To be able to fit amplifiers and other equipment I will have to modify the rack.

Once I had it assembled, I looked at it for hours and compared it to pictures only. I was sure I had done something wrong with the assembly. But there just isn't a way that I can make it any wider. No part that I had place the wrong way around. Everything looks good except that I can't actually use it.

I would return it but that is more hassle than it is worth for me. I will take a grinder to it and remove 2mm of metal from it. Then I can actually start using it.

Good for the price but a bit rough around the edges
Degree Productions 12.02.2020
It's pretty well made except there are not enough M6 Philips-head screws in the pack (4 too few). The drilling is a little off on the stamped metal lid, so one of the screws won't fit in there either. The catch on one of the sides broke off when I was clicking it in.

Disappointing quality
Stéphane B 03.04.2019
Far from the level of quality of the Millenium 22U ordered in the past:
- The package is missing some screws
- Bad cutting of the sheet, need to use a hammer to install the top
- Very poor paint quality

After you assemble it correctly, you can tell at a glance that this rack will last for beyond a lifetime. Minor complaint is that the locking mechanism can act up sometimes, but it should be disregarded if you dont plan to open the rear door periodically

DL
Good price / medium mechanics
Dan La Banane 02.04.2021
Some screws were missing. Mounting instructions not very detailed, lower than Ikea level. Mechanical are not very precise, so it's easier for mounting but then some doors are left with space and move in their support. The cab will not be silent when moving. Beside of that the price is good and the case seems heavy enough.

non-reversible door
Slow but steady 28.11.2022
High quality, solid rack. Unfortunately the doors are not reversible and both front and back doors are hinged on the same side. The screws supplied did not match the contents list and I had to juggle their positioning a bit to complete assembly.

Solid rack, seems robust
RichH 19.02.2023
We needed a wheeled rack of this size, and were struggling to find anything suitable and available in the UK. Order this from Thomann, and got it shipped quickly, and it is ideal for what we needed.

The instructions in English leave a lot to be desired, but assembly is fairly straightforward, so no real problem with that.

The supplied lock was damaged on arrival, but Thomann we happy to send out a replacement without delay, so that was absolutely fine.

Conclusion: good value for money, did what was needed and most important, Thomann had it in stock and were able to send out without delay.

Sturdy!
DynoSound1 23.06.2021
I use this Studio Rack for my Home Studio. Is really sturdy and made of great materials. Is truth the plexiglas on the front door is not very thick, but in case you need it's easily replaceable. You can add vans to the unit and every side of it can be opened giving easy acces to every side of the units inside and extra cooling, in case you need.

Pros: Stability, Mobility, It's very solid and you can upgrade it.

I don't find any cons. The only advice I can give, is to check the dimensions: it is bigger than it looks in the photographs.

Very happy with this purchase

S
Good for the price.
SkyH 11.07.2017
I bought this rack cabinet to house my power conditioners. Other rackmount euipment that might run a little hot would be great candidates for this, since it's all metal and it has the possibility to mount fans on a separated compartment under the top of the cabinet.

Assembling the cabinet was pretty straightforward, following the (very) basic explanations in the assembly manual. But frustratingly I was short of no less than four screws to mount the four support bars for the rack rails. These were sent swiftly by Thomann though. But I whish the amount of included screws would be double-checked at the factory. Not the biggest issue, but still. I had to wait a while to mount my rack gear because of this.

It's in the quality of the moving parts you see where the cost has been cut with this cabinet. The doors front and back is mounted reasonably well to the cabinet, but the lock in the front and the handle is mostly plastic and doesn't seem to be very durable.

All in all, I think it's worth the price. But the makers of this COULD do some minor changes to improve the quality that wouldn't cost too much I think. The cabinet itself looks great though! If you're looking for high build quality that'll last for many years, you should probably save up, but then it would cost way more. I like mine though. Does the job!
