A quick solution to speaker protection if you build your own cabinets.
In combination with a speaker clamp kit (such as Thomann 103483), the Monacor loudspeaker cover provides a very quick and effective means of mounting and protecting loudspeakers in a home-made cabinet (as in my case) or perhaps to repair a commercially-made cabinet. The Monocor product is light but strongly made and I am confident that it will protect my speakers from impact with other equipment when loading and transporting my gear. This type of cover has been on the market for some decades. It was about 30 years ago that I bought my first and I've used several since. Over the years, I have never lost a speaker as a result of physical impact with other gear. It is possible that a sharp object, such as a screwdriver, could penetrate the cover and damage the loudspeaker and a finer steel mesh might be an improvement,,,,but I suspect that this would increase the weight and price of the cover.

Good general purpose speaker grill
I bought this to protect the speaker cone under the front covering due to the kids running around the house. For the price it is OK, the rubber surround could be glued on a bit better as when tightening the grill / speaker clamps, the rubber slipped off the metal.
I am glad it is hidden under the grill cloth, but if it is not for show and just practicality then it is fine.

Cheap, works. Need to say more?
Affordable solution to protect your 12" speakers. Tried them on 4-5 different 12" ones, worked with all of them. Not bulletproof, but tough enough against dings and stuff. Buy it, not gonna regret the purchase.
