Amp modellers are guitar DSP effects units that emulate the sound of a range of amplifiers and speaker cabinets.

Only a few years ago amp modelling was not widely accepted amongst guitarists, with it's often unconvincing and thin sounding tones, but now with greater research and modern technology even the most die-hard axemen have given in to the latest amp modelling products.

Amp modelling is not restricted to rack-mount guitar effects, but is also included in many desktop effects units, amplifiers, pedals and even computer software.

Performing just as well on stage as in the studio, amp modelling gives you the convenience of many different sounding amplifiers and speaker cabinets all in one unit. Imagine having twin reverb combos, 4x12 stacks and vintage tube amps, all at the flick of switch or turn of a knob!
