I've used these heads for years, love them!
Punchy warm sound, could do with a tougher coating as it doesn't last the longest, but it's fine!

Really love the emperor coated batter heads. I use these on all my toms (10, 12, and 16)
Pros:
Has that dry rock sound with good but controlled resonance
The coating is durable
Cons:
I'm using 3 of these on my toms and one came with a small aesthetical defect on the coating, the QC is not the greatest.

My favourite dumhead!
I used to use coated emperors for pretty much everything! But I've come to accept that they just aren't suitable for live playing. They don't have the same durability and reliability of tuning as some of the competitor's products, particularly in the Evans line. So they have been replaced as my live head of choice for most applications. Having said that though, they are still my favourite drumhead, particularly for jazz and swing. Yes, they are double ply heads and are a little bit heavier than most people like to use for jazz playing. But I love the tonal qualities of these heads, both on snare, kick and toms. They have a really warm and dark tone with lovely sustain and great attack for accents. Really beautiful drumhead. I don't use them live any more, but I won't use anything else in the studio!

Rich and warm!
If you want the most amount of tone out of a 20” bd, this is the way to go. Vintage and modern at the same time. I do recommend this head!

Can't go wrong with these!
You couldn't go far wrong putting a set of these on your drum kit. Remo have been in the game a long time, and while they might improve things here and there, they must be commended for sticking with things that worked well years ago, and for being so consistent with their sound over the years. These Emperors have a lovely warm, grainy punch, and they almost tune themselves!! Check out my reviews of the 13" and 16" Emperor for more about the coatings, sound, and quality you can expect from these lovely heads

Remo coated Emperor
These heads are slightly better at focusing your natural drum sound. Once these heads have been played in a few times to stretch, they will give you the right sound for the right situation. Durable being a very good factor with this choice of head. Thomann offer the service, that quality, and of course the right price.

Toms Toms and more Toms
If you are looking for a great sounding head for any tom then this is the one. It's an industry standard head and all the pros use them.
If you don't know what to buy, buy these, they won't see you wrong.
The best sounding head I've used. I have been playing for 20 years and I've used a lot.

Great drum skin.
This is a very good sounding drum skin. I find them to be very durable and they seem to last longer than other drum skins I have used in the past . There is a great punchy sound ideal for rock music.

The classic warm and dry sound.
These heads have sounded great on every drumset i've played and they last for ever. They project a warm and dry tone - perfect for the modern pop and rock music.

Dependable Heads
I find coated emperors to be durable and with a bit more character and tone compared to clear heads of similar weight.
