Schilke 18

Schilke 18 is a well balanced larger sized mouthpiece. Rim feels much narrower than the Schilke 17 so does not feel like a larger scaled up version of the 17.

Sound feels focussed and is fairly bright. If it feels too bright then the 18c3d is the same mouthpiece with the darker more open Schilke D backbore.

Gutes Mundstück

Ich hatte vorher ein JK4C Mundstück mit kleinerem Kesseldurchmesser.Nach unten spricht das Schilke Mundstück besser an,in der höheren Lage etwas schwieriger.Gut ist für mich die "Zentrierung"-beim JK-Mundstück hatte ich Probleme,die richtige Stellung zu finden,beim Schilke zentriert sich das Mundstück immer richtig.Der Ton ist ähnlich wie beim JK,geht in Richtung Barockmusik.

Bewährtes Stück

Spiele schon seit mehr als 20 Jahren auf diesem Typ und brauchte mal ein Neues mit vor allem einer neuen Oberfläche. Mit der Ansprache und vor allem mit dem Rand war ich schon immer sehr zufrieden
