Great P90s!
I got these for an Epiphone Dot Studio and they sound great in that guitar! Even though it's the "cheapest" guitar I own (next to a few US made Gibson and Fender guitars), with these Phat Cats, the Epi sounds so nice that I often reach for it first. Nice open sound with that P90 drive and bite, as well as great clean tones all around.

My Jazmaster love it
This guitar completely changed the sound from my jazzmaster. I replaced the high-gain pickups with that pair and now the guitar sounds as cool as it looks. Btw if you setup properly the OD you will have amazing solos

Awesome set of p90 style pickups.
Bought this set for a project - I'm trying to turn my old SGR by Schecter into a playable good-sounding instrument. I already accomplished the goal off making it sound good: Phat Cats sound awesome - superior clarity, fat tone, clean up well. Basically what I would call fluffy tone (is this why they are called phat CAT?). Don't worry - if you want to make them sound sharp and get classic Strat tones out of this set they will handle it well too.
There is one thing one has to have in mind before buying this set - all p90s buzz. If you are ok with that, I see no reason why you shouldn't make your guitar a present.

New inspiration
If, like me, you are looking for new tones but don't want to invest in a P90 equipped guitar or route out for soapbars, these could be the answer. Easy to exchange for humbuckers on any guitar and for me the sound was a revelation. Anything that makes me want to play more I regard as a good purchase and the Phat Cats are definitely in that category.

Just great vintage sounding pickups
I've tried them using Egnater Tweaker 15 on two guitars: a Harley Benton SG clone and an Epiphone Les Paul. While it improved the sound of SG tremendously, I still wasn't happy with the guitar sound in general. Though they did magic to the Epi - it's one of my favorite guitars with a chime and a very dynamic sound. I dialed many tones with it: from classics like Mark Knopfler (not exact, but good enough), David Gilmour, Brian May, and Santana to the stoner rock/metal (Kyuss-like) and co. Not too great for the tight high gain, though (or it's just that I didn't manage to get there).

Very nice pickups
I did put them in my PRS CE24, and i am very satisfied.
