Bracket distorted and became unsafe after fist use
I bought 2 of these a while back and never got around to using them. The other night I had a wedding to do and I said why not, I'll use them.Mounted 2 small moving heads on one of them (1 each side) and put a lazer on the top in the middle. After the gig, when taking down I noticed the bracket connecting the bar to my pole was distorted. Upon further examination, it is completely mangled because the bolt is welded to a very thin piece of metal. Should be at least 5mm thick steel for this kind of thing, but it's wafer thin. Going to contact thomann and send pics and hopefully they can replace the brackets without me having to send everything back.

Like it or hate it
Nothing is perfect, but I like this one.
It is true there are some drawbacks, like the Powercons and XLR on the sides but it is useful if you place several bars in a row.
Then you can easily daisy-chain the bars with very short cables, so I think you should not use them as side bars because you want the cables in the center then.
Also it is right that the 35mm adapter is not roadie-proof ;) But hey, that is easy to fix.
The fifth connection is great to add some special FX or whatever.
Powercons are not Neutrik but feels good enough.
The general finish is fine but the total length of the bar is a little on the short side with 120cm.
So, for this money, and you have a good purpose for it I think they're great.

Good idea, not so good execution
Bought two of these, because the premise sounds great - any speaker stand becomes a lighting stand, with integrated power and DMX signal connectors which saves time and cables. You could also possibly leave the lights attatched and connectedd so it's really easy to put the lighting together when doing similar gigs in a row. Unfortunately, the design is not thought out and the quality seems poor.
First, the bolts to attatch lights are too long, unnecessary screwing wastes time. Second, there are five power and DMX sockets, but there are only four bolts for lighting included. Third, the DMX and Powercon inputs are at the and of the bar. It would make a lot more sense to put them at the center. Fourth, the Powercon cable included is ridiculously short. Fifth, the speaker pole adapter is too wobbly. It could have used a big washer or larger contact surface, or maybe two bolts. And finally, after about 6-7 uses, the adapter attaching bolt just broke off. Will not bother with the warranty, I'll have a more suitable replacement part made. All in all, a lot of the problems described you can fix, but you shouldn't have to. They do have their uses, but I don't think I'd buy these again.

Well Done

T bar
good quality T bar, nice fittings easy to install and use. bonus that it uses the powercon range of connectors, would perhaps be nice if Thomann did a UK version of this to save using adaptors but this is fine if you already have LED PARs from Thomann that already come with Schuko plugs. this bar does not have a amplified DMX splitter, it is just literally a split passively, so may be a problem if there was a faulty fixture on this bar otherwise fine as I use with a DMX booster. would recommend this product to those who use LED PARs a lot and want to make the cabling a lot tidier. another great product from Thomann

Extremely Handy
They work great! I've used them with a full kit without trouble. Only problem is that the handle that locks it to a stand is not very strong and breaks very easily. Once it's broken you can expect cut hands if you don't use gloves!! Besides that, they're perfect with LED technics.

Easy setting up
I've used it for my LED pars having 4 pars always connected to each. This has made my setup time rely a lot faster. Only need to plays on a stand then connect the power and DMX in/out and they were ready.

Great idea to minimise leads
The first Tbar i bought snapped off at the top on first use, due to a faulty weld on the tube part. Thomann were excellent and sent me a return postage sticker, i packed it off and returned it to them and they replaced it immediately, in time for our next gig. the Tbar we have now has no problems. It's quick to setup and easy to carry to the gigs. all the lights just plug in to the back up high, and the main power from the tbar to the power socket. its a fantastic idea, everyone should use one of these tbars for their lighting if they have 4 lights.
