Garbage. Steer clear.
Thpqqd 11.11.2022
Build quality is ok. The cable is rather thin, but the headset is light and robust. The sound, though, is dreadful. Far too much high end, no mids or bass. It sounds incredibly thin especially for male voices. Placement is absolutely critical and 1 or 2mm away from the perfect position absolutely ruins the sound. For me, completely unusable even after heavy EQing. For my use case, I can't spend 15 minutes on every actor making sure the placement is perfect every day. The sensitivity seems to be very variable, too - if the gain is set for speech, then singing completely overwhelms the mic and it distorts, but I'd gain is set for signing, speech is far too quiet.

Do yourself a favour and just get the omni version. I'm sending the cardiod version back.

Intended use was musical theatre performance, but it's just not fit for purpose. Perhaps the omni variant would have been better. We have a few of them already in use. Unfortunately they weren't in stock at the time and we desperately needed new mics. I will get the non-headset omni version instead. Let's hope the current model is as good as the old ones from a few years ago...

A lot of headset for not a lot of money
Jonathan103 07.12.2017
The sound quality and clarity of this mic is simply stunning, for the price.
I realise that a lot of people will skip-on following the opening sentence, but you really shouldn't.
I'm a singing drummer and if there's one thing that undoubtable, it's that singing and drumming don't mix well. However, this mic provides a consistently workabout quality that I've not found elsewhere.
Sure, you do get a lot of bleed into the mic, particularly from cymbals, but providing this isn't a problem for you, you will be delighted with this product.

L
Very good for speech
Laurence3956 04.07.2015
I bought this microphone for presentations, public speaking. It's a bit topy but okay for speech, Nice and clear. Not uncomfortable to listen to, good feedback rejection, and no popping. Didn't get a problem with hearing aids or glasses, comfortable. Just what we needed at a great price. There does seem to be a small problem with sibilance. Placing the microphone is critical. More sibilance with women's voices.

Could be better

At this pricepoint, there is no other options. It is usable and fills its purpose. With the microphone being constantly close to the speakers mouth, the speech can be reinforced quite a bit before feedback, transmitted to the livestream or recording. The design and construction of the device is really good. It is comfortable, adjustable and looks very good. You can also buy them with different connectors, this is definitely a great feature.
It doesn't sound good tho, being too thin and harsh. They also tend to break after a year or two.
If you have a bigger budget, get something else, but if you don't, it is definitely usable.
