Excellent mixer packs a giant punch
Seamus D. 16.06.2014
This is a ten channel mixing console which I purchased to replace the mg166c.
The latter was just too big to be transported from gig to gig.
I found that this mixer had plenty of connections and features to replace the 166.
Has xlr outputs as well as stereo out.
The sound is rich and clear and is comparable to the high end Yamaha models.
I am a dj but often have people plugging in other instruments guitars etc, this little baby more than coped with everything that was plugged into it.
To sum up this is really good value for money . I would also recommend buying the custom made Thomann case to safely transport it from venue to venue

PR
Yamaha mixer.
Peter R. 438 16.09.2014
This is the first ever Yamaha musical item I ever owned.

I use a pair of very good passive speakers (sometimes 4 speakers if its a big gig), with my old, but good & trusty 25 year old, 1000 watt power amp.

I tried "many" of these separate mixing desks, they are vulnerable to rain, beer spills and dropping, etc, don't seem to last beyond a year, so I gave up paying big money for them.

My last mixing desk cost almost ?1000, but in sound, quality and features, this Yamaha MG10 is right up there.

2 channels 1 & 2 have variable compression which helps with my harmonica/voice mic. I never had this before and its great. I never use effects at all, so this works great (got no effects).

?150 compared to ?1000, is fantastic. I should'a got more then I'm ready for the next beer spill.

A
Perfect mixer for small and starter bands
Anonymous 12.03.2016
I've been mainly using the desk for my new trio - guitar, bass, cajon + vocal. The desk really does its work. I recommend this desk for smaller bands or different instrumental or vocal groups (rehearsal and also gigs). The mixing desk is really easy to get used to. Its features are limited but for the price you pay you really get a good mixer. I warmly recommend it for anyone who is starting a new band and its limited on his budget.
