Having a set of Boss pedals and stomp boxes, this brilliant product allows any number of switching commands and you can plug all of your 1/4 inch jacks in any way you like.

I have an Engl Savage setup with this and also have the Ground Control Pro. I use 6 boss pedals and each of those are wired into circuits 1 through 6. I use number 7 to control whether I turn on my effects loop or not, where I have a decimator in there to remove the noise.

It's perfect because I can now at one single push of a button, choose any number of pedals to be activated, turn on / off my effects loop and even control my amps midi settings.

The GCX is brilliant for allowing the switching options and did you know it will act as a power source for your Ground Control Pro. No need for more plugs, just a 5 pin XLR cable and you're away.

Highly recommend this.

You REALLY need the ground control pro for this

I needed a switcher in order to control my stompboxes that are tucked away in a rack. There aren't so many of these switchers available anymore so the gcx seemed like a great solution. Although thomann clearly states it needs the ground control footcontroller in order to operate, since it has midi, I thought I would be able to get around this. The ground control footcontroller is too large for me. Well....thomann was absolutely right! Using any other footcontroller is NO option especially for programming this unit. This is, in my opinion, the big weakness of this product. Otherwise it's great and built like a tank but I couldn't program the thing so unfortunately, I had to send it back....

I purchased this unit with a Voodoo Lab Ground Control unit from Thomann. Both items were quickly delivered without any issues, and were securely packaged.
It was immediately apparent that the Audio Switcher (and foot controller) was a high quality item. It comes in a robust metal chassis that looks like it should withstand years on the road...certainly, in a home setup it would be excessive! The ease of use with the ground control is outstanding and obviates the need for a separate software-based means of setting it up - the manual is comprehensive and the manufacturer's web site is also very helpful with examples of pedal connections, amp switching and the like. The audio when the loops are bypassed sounded more than good enough to my ears and overall, I highly recommend this unit.
