It clips neatly into place and of course the mix pre is practically unusable without the L-Mount batteries. Therefore the cost of your mixpre-6 II is actually over €100 more expensive for those looking to use this device for any kind of onsite recording. What about USB-C then? Well, this is very good to have. But you cannot rely on a flimsy USB-C connection for live recordings as the cable will come off too easily.
So, then we have the MX L-mount. This is a reliable, professional solution which depending on the NPF batteries in use can last you a whole day of shooting/recording. But the battery mount in essence is a lighweight piece of plastic which does not easily connect with the Mixpre’s. Each time I am removing it I am concerned the brackets come off. A price of €25 for this thing would be fair and would still give Sound Devices and its resellers a healthy margin. A price of €50 would be steep. A price >€100 is just excessive. This is where the Zoom F6 has a competitive edge!

Ist für ein Kunststoffteil recht teuer. Aber dennoch unerlässlich. Funktion ist sehr gut.
Halber Preis wäre angemessen.
Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass ein flaches Aufliegen des Recorders auf einem Tisch o.ä. mit dem Adapter und beiden Akku-Einschüben nicht mehr so gut geht, weil ein Akku weit über die Unterseite hinausragt. Auch ein leichtes Stativ (für Podcasts auf dem Tisch o.ä.) wird durch die recht schweren Akkus arg gefordert. Andererseits: Man bekommt mit die L-Akkus viel Leistung für relativ wenig Geld.
Funktioniert mit den unterschiedlichen Größen der L-Akkus, so dass man Packmaß und Leistung je nach Bedarf wählen kann.
