Nice tool for the H-4N
This remote is a useful add on for the H-4N field recorder.
If the H-4N has the perfect recording position it can be very annoying to get up each time you start or stop a record. For piano recordings I often place the H-4N inside the grand piano and with the RC04 I can remote controle the recording. Even the recording input level can be adjusted with is very helpful cause you don't have to get up while playing.

A must!
If you bought a Zoom H4N, this is one of the nicest features to have. I use it a lot when we have rehearsal with a band and Zoom H4N is positioned in the other part of the room, meaning that everytime I would like to record something I would have to get to the device and as it is in the ear level, I'm not able to see clearly on the screen of it. Most of the time I have auto-sound leveling turned on and in that case I just need to set pre-recording on and drummer plays louder parts of the song and then I hit record to start recording. Also light on the left side of the remote (red/green) shows you when you are in no-recording/recording standby/recording mode...
Only downside is the cable, but if all of the band members are aware of it,they don't step on it or pull it with their feet...

Really good unit
Great unit etc altho a few years on and the plastic has gone weirdly sticky. SO quality of unit not so good now :( but still works fine

it?s the remote for the zoom 4HN. I found it useful for recording my band on the rehersal room. You can do everything you would do with the zoom form aproximately 2 meters. The cable is long but rally thin it looks it can be damaged easily but with a bit of care it should last long.

Zoom RC4 remote controller
Great piece equipment to had to the H4n with the remote instant record on pressing rec makes life easier switching between modes,I play drums so the remote comes in very handy ,not having to press rec and make my way back to the kit every thing done from my instrument... highly recommended

Kun odottaa jotain tarpeeksi niin ... joo kauko-ohjain langalla, toimii mutta toi kaapeli kyllä on aina jaloissa, saispa tälle laitteelle kaukon ilman johtoa. Muuten ei moittimista. Näppärän pieni ja hyvä muotoilu. Kun opettelee napit ulkoa niin voi käyttää helposti tunnustamalla napin koon ja sijainnin.

A perfect companion for a Zoom
Allows setting the zoom in the right position to record, while having all the needed controls at hand. The led indicators are a nice additional feature, which make it possible to make sure the recording is on.

Life made easier
This has made life easier, complete control over my recording device. Now I can focus on whats matter. I should have gotten this long time ago. The only downside is the cable which is a bit annoying, but until they come out with a wireless, I can live with it.

Does what is says on the box
Easy to use and for not much money, especially useful when the Zoom controls are hard to get at.

Feels cheap, but works.
It's quite flimsy and cheap feeling in hand. It works though, which is the main issue.
