Great for the studio!
I have been using Gruvgear products for some time now. I mainly use the string dampener on my 8 strings when tracking in the studio, for the obvious reasons of eliminating and accidental note rings that may occur, which could ruin a perfectly good take. Of course this means it gets a lot of use - but the only problem I have found with this is because of its construction, it seems you constantly need to buy new ones to obtain the same quality of dampening you had from new.
I still would totally recommend the product as it does exactly the job it says ‘on the tin’, but it would also be great if they could make a more durable version that doesn’t start to fray or deteriorate after only a couple of weeks. Other than that, I live them and they also look stylish and suited to any guitar.

Decent qualtiy
These fret-wraps have an extended velcro area compared to some of their older products, which were pretty useless, precisely because of a too small velcro area. It simply didn't stick. These work better and I'm satisfied.

Simple device to help out your sound
I bought this particular fretwrap for my newly acquired Amarok 7 string.
I place mine right about the nut of the guitar. Placing the wrap there allows it to dampen any string that might resonate when not being actively played. It takes a second to slap it in place and results are instantly noticeable.
If you tune in low tunings having one only your instruments will help clean up any unwanted noise in your playing giving you a tighter more articulate sound.
I highly recommend using fretwraps for any guitar or bass player looking to polish their sound.

Get rig of that buzz and annoying string rattle sounds coming from low tunes. This thing saved my recording sessions. Still recommend it to session musicians and clients.

Amazing!
It really improves the overall sound of the guitar and a lot of the noise is gone, especially useful if you're playing in the studio and you want to get rid of a lot of string noise from strings not played at the moment. I highly recommend to all guitar players out there to get this, it's very small investment which will improve your playing and tone noticeably.

Underrated gear
Whenever I tried to record something at home or at the studio, I always had issues with unwanted noise or undertones. I made some research and decided to purchase this fretwrap and it indeed works as advertised. It it an excellent replacement for a sock or cloth or even a bra (lol). But yes, it is a must especially when recording and you want to have a clean sound.

Does the job as intended
Very good tool if muting strings is required. You can easily move it beyond the nut and continue playing unmuffled or bring it back on the first fret and mute unwanted noise and open strings without changing the grip adjustment.

Sorta doesn't really fit my 8-string.
Got this for my Legator 8-string but ended up having to find a way to lengthen it in order to work.
