Excellent and great value

Any working drummer needs something like this and it's pretty much as described - a hard wearing carpet with a rubber base so it doesn't slip. We all have gigs where we have to play on wooden floors or less grippy surfaces or where you don't want to potentially damage a floor and so on. It also helps in the smaller venues and stages work out how to fit in the kit before you set it all up. You can also mark the rug with all the point where your hardware should be set up etc.

But is this the one you should buy?
I think so;
- the rubber base is grippy enough so that it will stay put, but not too grippy that you can't drag it (and the whole kit) along a floor if you really have to
- the carpet top is nice quality but also pretty hardwearing to withstand bass drum claws and so on
- I've been using this for well over a year in many gigs and if I clean it it looks just as good as the day I got it
- it's flexible and easily stowed using the attached velcro strap, even if you don't use the included bag, it'll fold in half for instance once rolled up
- the particular design is up to you, but this is simple and less 'loud' than the other Meinl ones, which means it will blend in and not be noticed
- it's a good overall size. I use a quite large single bass drum kit (3 sided rack with two floor toms on my right, secondary snare and other percussion on my left) and it almost completely fits on this rug, only just bleeding off the edges, anyone else will have no problem, but it's probably not quite big enough for big double kick kits

Overall, a great investment.

Large, stable rug.

I needed a larger rug as my drum keeps on growing, an unexplained phenomenon :)
This one is big enough for my large set, and with the full rubber sole, it doesn't move an inch.

Not a whole lot to review about a rug... it's fuzzy, fluffy, attracts heaps of dust but it's great when you play barefoot! :D It does stop all your gear from sliding away, excellent when you play on wood/concrete floors.

Not only for drums

Using this rug for my digital piano: just the right format, nothing slides away (piano, chair, foot on pedal, ...)

The bottom layer seems excellent for a little extra noise protection for those living under me.

The top layer feels solid, so it will last for a long time (I hope)

Very well made, doesn't budge and can fit a decent amount of drums and hardware on it. Plus its easy to clean if you need to brush of bits of broken drumsticks and sawdust from playing

Big and sturdy

Size is huuuge, materials are strong enough for frequent use. Packing it is a breeze, but a bit tricky, if you have only a small car. Not using it anymore, I have some thick interlocking foam stuff, didn't have the heart to draw the rack footprint on it, so I'm only using it under my Dad's kit. He doesn't seem to mind. :)

Large, inexpensive, and PERFECT
Scottacon 16.12.2022
Our drummer has gone through three rugs now and wasn't able to find one that would keep her kick in place. Not only does this hold her kick in place better than any rug she's tried, it grips velcro INSANELY well and was cheaper than almost any alternative to boot.

It's large enough to fit a 5-piece kit and still have a decent amount of room leftover. We're very happy to have found this rug.

This drum mat is literally amazing! Easy to roll out, place pedals, pad set or accoustic set, works out very well - rug has a gum rubber underneath so it makes the slippery problems go away. This one has kind of a bag where you could put the carpet easily! Nothing too crazy, but this things does its job - recommended!

good quality drum rug

I pick the black one cause it was more atractive to my eyes, true!! it is really pretty and combines perfectly with my drum set on top.
Stays put on any surface due to it's anti-slip bottom.
Looks super cool and professional but its also attracts heaps of dust and cause i have 2 dogs in my house (one has big white fur) its was inevitable that now i understand that black probably wasnt the best choise, so on that area choose wisely ; ))
The size on the ground is perfect and big enought for all the hardware!
it brings a bag (quite fragil) but still its a bag! that way u can transport it easier.
The anti slip bottom could have a little bit more of thickness but its ok.
overall my opinion is that it is a good product and worth the investment
