Buy a good one to begin with
Bass drum trigger is the first one to break if you are cheap, and believe me, it is only a matter of time. I should have gotten Rolands in the first place and not those "red" ones, you know which I mean...
The biggest advantage in addition to durable build is the easy of installation, as the triggerhead find it's place automatically. For a price this reasonable I don't really see why anyone would choose another product. It is pretty much flawless.

A
nice upgrade for the kick trigger
I've been using the Roland kick trigger for some time. The new RT-30K is a nice upgrade from the previous model and seems to be "picking up" every soft beating.
The previous model seemed to require some extra fine-tuning to detect softer hits on bass drum head. This one works just fine, no matter how soft you play.
I'm using the trigger on mesh heads.

Can I kick it? Yes you can!
Great stuff, as usual. Used it with Alesis Sample pad 4, works fine! It's very sensitive: I had to be careful when hitting the bassdrum rim with the sticks as it triggered the e-drum as well.
I recommend it

Great Triggers
I've used this trigger a couple times and so far they haven't let me down. They work great and do their job like it's supposed to.
I must say that the response maybe too high but that depends on your bass drum head adjustments and your module settings.

I bought it to use with my Roland SPD-SX, and it's really precise and sensitive, but you need to make sure that you have selected the correct model in the settings.

Works like a charm
It's light, easy to install, easy to set up (although you do have to fiddle with it) and it works consistently well. Picks up the kicks on all sorts of heads, EMAD included. Can't go wrong wit these.

Brilliant Trigger
Works a treat for heavy drumming. Not 10000% accurate when doing quick bursts (where if played sloppy the beaters can hit simultaneously) but if using 2 bass drums this will be fantastically accurate. Recommended.
