Good but could be better

As rackmounts go, they are fairly straight forward. With this, there could be a few improvements. There is a couple of holes on the front plates for your cable to go from your amp to the back of the AKG wireless. These holes are small! you'll need to remove the head cover on the jack, put the cable through and then put the cover back on. And we all know, with some cables they aren't 're-use' friendly, so you'll need to make a cable really. The screws that come with the rackkit, to connect the side rack to the AKG wireless unit are very short! I mean, extremely short. Now, maybe the problem is with the wireless unit, maybe the screws can not enter too far. But if this isn't the case, then its just poor.
But saying all this, its a rack kit, it works, and is handy. Could be improved though.

Works exactly as intended

Works well with my WMS series receivers. It's nice that the same kit lets you mount either 1 or 2 receivers side by side in 1U. The kit contains various small screws and bolts and metal brackets to allow different AKG units to be mounted so you need to read the instructions to find out which bolts and rack pieces you need for your particular application.

Great little product

What can I say about this product.

It is quality metal, easy to fit and has been in my rack case with my head and wireless in it for nearly 4 years now and is still just as tough and secure as it was the day I put it in.

Some companies make rack kits and rack ears out of what feel like scrap metal painted black, these feel and look the top quality you expect from AKG.

Gutes rackmount

ich habe dieses rackmount direkt zur AKG anlage dazugekauft und es auch sofort verbaut. das geht auch wirklich sehr schnell in ca 5 minuten.

ich finde es auf jeden fall schonmal gut, dass man es auch mit nur einem empfänger benutzen kann, anders als bei anderen systemen, bei denen man zwingend 2 braucht. das rackmount ist stabil, hängt allerdings minimal durch; wie das bei 2 empfängern aussieht, kann ich nicht beurteilen. mich stört das allerings nicht weiter.

Fazit: wer ein rack hat und das AKG system benutzt, sollte es unbedingt mit diesem rackmount verbauen. das erhöht die lebensdauer und sieht auch noch besser aus. großes lob, für die möglich ''einzelbenutzung''.
