Tone Zone Humbucker

The DiMarzio Tone Zone with F (Floyd Rose vibrato) spacing is a truly loud humbucker that can even teach lazy amps to sing and roar. Even with high gain, the sound can prevail thanks to the convincing overtone spectrum, almost like an open wah wah pedal, but without the typical restricted sound of this popular way of making lead sounds more assertive. This is ensured by the tremendous bass and mids, which deliver a mighty sound.

in copia con l'Air Norton costituisce un suono adatto a ogni genere, da prog al jazz, dalla fusion al pop. L'ho splittato ed anche come sigle coil è molto convincente. Attacco definito, molto poco rumoroso e bella spinta. Suono pieno e presente nei medi, preciso sugli alti e pieno nei bassi.

montato insieme a un air norton sulla mia ibanez con split ai pot
ottimo per rock-metal anni 80, ma comunque gode di una gran versatilità

dinamica impressionante per questo Humbuker dal suono inconfondibile. Ho montato il "DiMarzio DP 155FBK The Tone Zone" su una stratocaster, non lo smonterò mai.

Dimarzio Tone Zone Pickup for Bridge position

I got the Tone Zone bridge pick up (along with Air Norton) to replace my ageing V8 pickup on my mahogany body Ibanez RG520. I used a local music shop to get the pick ups fitted as I was not confident about doing myself. The Tech Guy absolutely loved them as it just said my guitar just sounds "Awesome". He was very impressed.

The Tone Zone is ultra hot in my ears, it can easily get hard rock and metal tones with limited effort. In the first few hours of playing these pick ups I can get Joe Bonamassa blue licks nicely to Metallica tones readily. The bass of the pick up is very high so you might need to back some off it your amp. This is the second Tone Zone, I have in my other guitar collection and there is a clear difference compared to the likes of PAF Pro and Air Classics also made by Dimarzio. I would say this pick up is good enough for modern metal as well as classic rock.

The F spaced Dimazio pickups are for electric guitars with Floyd Rose like tremolo system. It means that the poles of magnets are aligned with the strings.

Thomann did an good job in delivery which took three days to arrive once ordered. Sort of wished I should have brought these pick ups earlier. They are immense.
