Io monto le DR su un Jazz bass del 2009, e devo dire che, tra le varie mute di corde che ho provato negli anni, le Hi Beams sono quelle che mantengono un'ottima qualità sonora anche dopo 6 mesi.
Pro: durata della qualità sonora
Contro: appena montate hanno un suono scuro

I have one repeating problem with DR strings, the E-string always tends to be slightly dead for slap as I put it on. I try to follow the instructions to bend the string before cutting it, but it does not help.
Other than that these strings are excelent for both slap and fingers, brilliant sound and yet very pleasant soft feel on the fingers.
But becase of the problem with E-strimg I am starting to consider switching to another brand,

These strings have a very nice brightness and growl to them. The lifespan is also good though it doesn't compare to the coated strings from DR, those last forever.
