Good, But know what youre buying

Its what you would expect from a dry cymbal, its got great stick definition, but i dont think you would use it as a ride. This is a great cymbal for jazz or light music, as it is very thin sounding with very little wash, you will not find it loud when playing with a full band, that maybe a good or a bad thing depending what you want.
I use it in a wedding band so the volume of the band is high, in this case for me its more of a effects cymbal like a china however its not as intrusive, the initial attack is strong but it fades away quickly . Its lovely for accents.
Im glad i bought it, its nice to have in the arsenal for different situations, and as value for money its very good for what you pay.

Eigentlich kaufte ich dieses Becken um es in ein Electr. Schlagzeug zu integrieren da ich manchmal live das E-Schlagzeug nütze. Ich wollte ein Becken das sich ohne Aufschaukeln, bzw. zu laut werden in das E-Kit integriert. Ein "trocken" klingendes 18" Becken dachte ich wird dies tun. Bis zu einem gewissen Punkt tat es dies da dieses 18" Ride sich sehr gut bzgl. Lautstärke kontrollieren lässt. Obwohl ich allerdings fand das dieses Becken bei der Integration in das E-Schlagzeug trotzdem noch etwas zu laut war ging die Suche weiter. Trotzdem behalte ich dieses Becken ganz einfach weil es zwar trocken klingt, aber nicht zu trocken. Als Zweitbecken für das akustische Schlagzeug kann ich mir nichts Besseres vorstellen als dieses sehr gut klingende Ride. Mittlerweile fand ich auch ein (20") Ride das sich besser ein ein Electrisches Schlagzeug integrieren lässt. Dies ist das Zildjian Dry Light Ride. Thomann Artikel Nr 158781

Geschmackssache - eher schwer, hart und trocken

Ich suchte ein kleines Ride-Becken für ein kleines Set (Yamaha Custom Birch Bop), das ich hauptsächlich mit Rods spiele. Dafür war dieses Becken dann aber doch zu trocken, zu schwer und zu hart. Für weiche Rods durch die Schwere auch zu leise.

Verarbeitung und Optik sind klasse, da gibt es nichts. Und der Crash-Sound ist wirklich toll. Aber für Jazz und weicheres Spiel als Ride Becken nicht ganz mein Ding.

Aber Sound ist halt, grad bei Becken, Geschmackssache. Hab es zurückgeschickt und mich nun doch für ein 20" Ziljian entschieden.

Great little ride

I bought this ride a year ago and have been gigging and practicing with it ever since. It is a lot darker and deeper sounding than one would think, judging by its size, and the bell is good. All in all, a good little ride for a great price. It also crashes pretty well. I will be looking into Istanbuls other cymbals for sure.
