Phaser Effects UnitThe MXR EVH Phase 90 can be heard in the classic Van Halen guitar style. This is how Eddie Van Halen "spiced up" his legendary Lead sound, especially on the early records. This can clearly be heard in his parade solo on "eruption".

There is, of course, only one control with which the speed of the phasing can be adjusted, everything else is set so that a really pleasant, never too intrusive effect can be achieved.

Special feature: The script switch allows the player to switch between the vintage "Script Logo" or the more modern and aggressive "Block Logo" phaser sound.

ho provato tanti phaser negli anni, dai vintage, ai reissue fino a quelli moderni ma mai mi sarei aspettato una tale qualità dalla collaborazione tra MXR e Van Halen.
Partiamo subito dicendo che in realtà sono due pedali in uno, il primo è un phaser più marcato, moderno e liquido, principalmente è quello che uso di più, il secondo è il classico 90, il modello arancione, il classico suono che va dai Pink Floyd ai primi dischi dei Van Halen e altri.
Soprattutto, degno di nota, è il minimo rumore di fondo, ovviamente non ne è esente, ma è minore rispetto ai suoi fratelli.
Come sempre ottima qualità di costruzione e il suono è assolutamente oltre ogni aspettativa.
Assolutamente da provare, vale ogni Euro che costa, ne sarete pienamente soddisfatti.

Veramente ottimo, robusto e molto molto bello. lo consiglio a chiunque cerchi un phase di ottima qualità. il suono è leggendario, non avrei potuto scegliere un pedale migliore.

MXR EVH Phase 90 Review

The EVH phase 90 pedal is a simple pedal with only one knob and one button and is very easy to use. It is essentially two phasers in one: the standard block-logo Phase 90, and the vintage 70's script-logo phaser, the button marked 'Script' switches between two phase sounds, one subtle and one more pronounced however the difference is not overly drastic.
From my experience with the pedal I think sounds best in the guitar chain rather than in the FX loop but this may just be a matter of preference. The reason that some may buy this pedal is to sound like EVH and with the script button pressed and the knob at around 9 or 10 o'clock it's a very convincing early Van Halen tone.
It is a compact pedal that takes up little room on any pedalboard but you will know it's there because the blue LED light is super bright. The build quality is very good, it's built like a small tank and best of all the EVH paint job looks really cool.
I use a power supply to power the pedal (not included) but if you intend on using batteries you may find it annoying removing the screws to get at the battery compartment.
Overall a great sounding phaser that is very hard to fault.
