Brilliant bit of kit

Got this to supplement some of the work I am doing with bands and what a sound! It will take time to do everything I want, but that is down to operator incompetence. As a first double bass, this has been a revelation so far. One day in and loving every minute of it. Great for country and slow blues. Just need to wrk it into the set more now (if we ever get to play live again).

Kontrabass für die Handtasche

Diesen Bass habe ich mir als Alternative zum 4/4 Holzkontrabass zugelegt, wenn der Kofferraum schon mit weiterem Equipment überfüllt ist.

Habe das Teil an einem ganzen Wochenende ausgiebig live testen können. Der bAss ist äußerst transportfreunlich. In den im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Bag passen sowohl Bass, Stativ, ein Bogen (nicht im Lieferumfang) und Zubehör (Kolofonium, Kabel etc., auch nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten). Das ist echt praktisch.

Der Bass ist ordentlich verarbeitet. Mechaniken und (passive!) Elektronik machen einen soliden Eindruck.

Nun zum Sound. Es gibt einen Pizzicato/Arco Umschalter. In der Pizzicato Einstellung verklingt der Ton schneller, wie beim ?richtigen? Kontrabass. In der Arco Eimstellung klingt der Ton länger nach. Dann klingt der Bass aber eher wie ein bundloser E.-Bass und neigt dazu ein wenig zu koppeln.

Ich behalte ihn. - Probierts aus.

Nachtrag im Juni 2018. Bass gibt keinen Ton mehr von sich. Kaputt. Garantiefall. - Da bin ich ja mal gespannt...
