Big sticks

These are great sticks. They're really thick and won't break on you as fast, but you have to be careful not to break your cymbals. Great for heavy music and heavy hitting. You get a punchy sound and attack with these sticks and they will probably make the PA guy mad at you for being too loud..

Great feel

The 3A is perfect for drummers looking for a little more front-end weight. This is due to its short taper which offers a great feel. You can lightly "throw" these sticks down (during lighter playing) and they have a nice rebound to them. Played a little harder, they give you a heavier, fuller sound. All in, a surprisingly versatile pair of sticks.

Played 5a for years but since trying these a few months ago I'm definitely converted. They have that extra bit of weight which allows for more control and attack without being too heavy and clumsy like I find with 2b for example. Perfect for all styles that I play. Highly recommend trying them out if you haven't!

Schwanke zwischen Herstellern und Größen immer wieder hin und her, hatte schon alles zwischen 5A und 2B im Einsatz. Der 3A liegt da einfach wunderbar in der Mitte.
Ordentlich Wumms, da kopflastig, und nicht zu fett im Durchmesser. Quasi ein 55A mit deutlich mehr Holz vorne. Das (oder der?) Barreltip fühlt sich erstmal komisch an, wenn man Acorn gewohnt ist. Irgendwie ist der Rebound etwas träger, hab ich das Gefühl. Aber die Spitze holt durch die große Fläche auch ordentlich Sound aus der Trommel. Nur für ganz pointiertes Spiel auf dem Ride ist der 3A dann eben nix. Verarbeitung bei Vic - eigentlich immer top. Manchmal bricht er schneller als erwartet, andere halten ewig.
Alles in allem, komme ich auf den 3A immer wieder gerne zurück, auch wenn zwischendurch mal was anderes in die Tasche kommt.
