Protec PB-319 Bass Clarinet Case

La custodia nel suo aspetto esteriore è solida e ben fatta, ma all'interno non è minimamente sagomata per accogliere lo strumento, nonostante la presenza di 2 o 3 cuscinetti mobili; questo si può immaginare perché è impossibile fabbricare una custodia che si adatti a tutti i clarinetti bassi non discendenti e non in due pezzi.
Pertanto ho dovuto estrarre il materiale della sezione dove sarebbe dovuto stare lo strumento e sostituirlo con una sagoma fabbricata da me a partire da un pannello di materiale isolante alto 10 cm e ricoperto (per fortuna) con la stoffa "strappata" dalla parte scartata.
Adesso è una custodia eccezionale, accoglie perfettamente il mio YCL-220.
Ultimo appunto, è possibile acquistare separatamente l'accessorio Protec BP-Strap Bac­k­pack a 21,90€ che consente di portarla come uno zaino. Dopo tutta la fatica fatta per adattarsela alle proprie esigenze sarebbe stato carino che almeno quell'accessorio fosse stato incluso.

This case goes with me walking into town and back a few times a week, which is a ~4km round trip, and often in the rain. On the advise of a friend who did the same, I removed the inside formed bass clarinet sections so it can accommodate my uilleann pipes.

It?s solid, well made throughout, and looks good. The zippers are robust, it balances standing upright, the outer nylon covering is durable and water proof (even the inside of the outer pocket remains dry).

This case suits my needs, it?s big enough, sturdy, water proof, and with the additional backpack straps it?s perfect for traveling or carrying long distances. The plywood construction underneath might not completely stop a major impact, but I think it?s a great compromise of strength versus portability.

Over the past couple of months it?s held up well, while carrying more weight with less internal support than it?s originally designed for. If you need a bass clarinet case this will be great. If you need a bagpipe case and aren?t afraid to modify it on arrival, it will be great too!

Comme toujours avec Protec, la qualité de finition est excellente. Cet étui est très pratique à l'usage avec sa poignée confortable et sa sangle large amovible pour un portage en bandoulière. La clarinette est parfaitement protégée et tous les accessoires (bec, bocal, anches, ...) logent dans un coffret bien cloisonné qui se referme automatique par des élastiques. Il convient parfaitement pour les clarinettes basses monocorps. Sa poche latérale permet de loger facilement un pupitre et divers accessoires sauf un stand (trop volumineux).

Ich habe eine Leblanc-tief-es-Bassklarinette darin und die passt super hinein, nachdem ich ein Kissen an eine andere Stelle verschoben und geklebt habe. Das geht sehr gut und ist hinterher bei ordentlicher Ausführung nicht mehr zu erkennen.

Besonders in Verbindung mit der Rucksack-Garnitur, die ich auch an meinen anderen Protec-Cases nutze, ist das Case äußerst leicht zu tragen.
