Rotosound Double Bass Strings

Per quel che costano una bella delusione.
Le ho acquistate la prima volta anni fa , erano le mie prime corde ed avevo un bel ricordo del suono.
Infatti non sono male, peccato che in tutte e due le volte il sol mi si è sfilacciato rendendo impossibile suonare quella corda.
Il mi e la secondo me hanno un suono troppo diverso dal sol e re. Infatti due corde sono fasciate in metallo e due fasciate in materiale plastico o nylon ( non saprei )
Rapporto qualità prezzo secondo me non valgono la spesa. Non le comprerò più.

These strings have nylon core, which is flatwound with nylon on the G and D strings, and with monel on the A and E strings. The strings have a comfortable soft feel, with a lighter tension than most steel strings, and good tone and volume.

I play Bluegrass, Jazz and Country-Blues. They are flexible and durable enough for comfortable slapping, but because of the different materials they sounds completely different from each other. The top strings have kind of a "tan" color to the wrapping, so they almost appear to be gut strings from a distance. They have a light feel but still have a warm tone. You might consider this set to be a alternative to gut strings if you want some of that flavor -- but with more definition and longer sustain than real gut. Furthermore the strings sounds brilliant for a long time and need no care!

All things considered great strings for the doghouse!

Ich spiele seit über 20 Jahren Kontrabass und habe mittlerweise zig Saiten getestet - Stahl, Darm, Nylon und diverse Kombinationen. Ich spielte in unterschiedlichen Bands von Swing, Rockabilly und Psychobilly bis hin zu Rhythm'n'Blues. Ich spiele die Saiten inzwischen auf allen meinen Bässen.

Für mich sind diese Saiten der perfekte Mix aus gutem Ton und leichter Spielbarkeit. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen Noylonsaiten besitzen diese Rotosounds einen kräftigen Sound, so dass sich der Bass sowohl geslappt als auch gezupft gut durchsetzen kann.
Im Gegensatz zu allen anderen Nylonsaiten, die ich kenn, besitzen diese einen echten Ton, der den Namen verdient. Der Ton ist zwar nicht ganz so klar, wie bei Saiten mit Stahlkern, aber dafür spielen sich die Saiten wie Nylonsaiten.

Der einzige Wehrmutstropfen sind, aus meienr Sicht, die unterschiedlichen Umwickelungen (E+A mit Stahl und D+G mit Nylon umsponnen). Da durch klingt der Slapp unterschiedlich und man keine Magnetpickups nutzen. Sollte ich also einen Wunsch bei Rotosound frei haben, dann würde ich mir einen einheitlich mit Stahl umsponnenen Satz wünschen.

Después de probar las cuerdas de tripa para el contrabajo, abandoné el acero para siempre. El problema de las cuerdas de tripa es que rompen con mucha facilidad y son muy caras. Si vives en un sitio con humedad, además bajan de afinación muchísimo. Probé las rotosound y se parecen mucho a la sensación de tocar con tripa, no se desafinan nada, y duran lo que quieras. En función del uso van perdiendo brillo, lógicamente, y, dependiendo de que tipo de sonido busques, tú decidirás cuando las cambias. Si te gusta un sonido profundo tipo old school, podrás estar con el mismo juego años y años... Una pasada...
