A great utility module

Samara packs a lot of features into a small space, and does a great job at it. While it can be used to mix audio and CV (with the ability to both invert and offset both), it is as a CV or LFO 'mangler', in my opinion, that it shines.
I primarily use it as a means of adding interest and variety to standard LFO shapes, thus making for more interesting modulation. It has 4 modes of manipulating CV: Min/Max, Scan, Clamp and Sample and Hold. These modes, plus the mixing, offset and attenuation features, means that Samara can be used to add a lot of interesting modulation to a patch.

Really happy with all xaoc modules, the samara 2 is no exception, really opens up the functionality of their other modules, especially the Batumi

Gutes und durchdachtes Utility-Modul zum CV-Mixen. Jedoch etwas speziell. Unbedingt das interne Routing anschauen.

Trotz den vielen Features wie z.B. 2 sample and holds, und min und max outputs mit clamp und scan, finde ich es von der Handhabung etwas umständlich.
Mein 4ms shifting mingler ist da viel direkter hands on und bringt viel schneller ähnliche Ergebnisse.

Samara kann je nach dem wie man es patcht aufgeteilt werden.
Z.B. 1. Hälfte für 1 sample and hold und zweite Hälfte Mix aus Kanal 3+4.
Oder Sum aus 1+2 und 3+4 und Min und Max.
Und noch viele mehr....
2 Offsets kann man per button zuschalten

Vieles ist hier möglich, wenn man richtig patcht und das Modul zu nutzen weiß. Das ist auch Voraussetzung.

Das Modul ist mit Sicherheit ein swiss army knife für cv mit einem tollen feature set.

Wer die Bonus-features wie sample and hold, clamp und scan nicht braucht könnte mit anderen CV-Mixern besser bedient sein.

Die Architektur des Moduls kann je nachdem wie man es zu nutzen weiß, als sehr flexibel aber auch limitierend empfunden werden. Wichtig ist, das einem eben diese Architektur für den eigenen Workflow zusagt.
