Excellent bassoon strap

I found the Zappatini strap easily the best I've tried. Can now practise standing up for the first time since suffering back pain some months ago. I found it was necessary to put an extra knot in the bit of rope that comes out of the adjuster when using a balance hanger.

Great alternative and takes weight of the bassoon well

A great way to hold the bassoon. I find it allows me more freedom of movement and less weight on back and neck. The rigid support that goes down from your chest to stomach feels more comfortable than expected. For me it puts the bassoon (without balance hanger) in the correct position for playing standing up.

Sehr guter Gurt

Ich versuche mal die Probleme der anderen hier zu beheben.
Sollte die Stange zu sehr auf den Bauch drücken, dann unten einfach den Gurt weiter lockern. So kommt auch wieder Luft in die Lunge und man erstickt nicht ;) Drückt?s immer noch auf den Bauch, evtl einen Gurt in der Größe Large bestellen. (Large ist wirklich sehr sehr groß. Ich bin ein ehemaliger Rugbyspieler, also ziemlich massiv und breit, und der Large Gurt war viel zu groß)
Sollte der Stab ohne Instrument in den Hals drücken, sind die Gurte oben zu sehr gespannt. Damit das Fagott bei den lockereren oberen Gurten nicht zu tief hängt, sollte man die Schnur, an dem das Fagott hängt, kürzen. Dazu die Schnur am Plastikteil oben durchziehen und bei gewünschter Länge einen Knoten machen. So wird man nicht vom Gurt erwürgt und bekommt auch kein Loch im Hals ;)
Allgemein gesehen ist der Gurt vor allem wegen zweier Sachen gut. 1. das Gewicht wird sehr gut auf den gesamten Oberkörper verteilt und 2. und wichtigster Aspekt, ist dass das Fagott sehr frei beweglich ist und nicht fest am Körper angenagelt ist.
