Genau sowas habe ich gesucht! Von clean bis verbogen kann ich alles damit anstellen. Verarbeitung ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben, Finish super, Klang und Features sind einfach nur TOP. Und dazu noch aus deutschen Landen. Perfekt

Great clean pre-amp

I just was looking for a very clean pre-amp for professional mics (C641, MKH80) for indoor voice video recording. I just can judge from my ears that this is the best one compared to some other 500er pre-amps I tried and compared. The compressor is working great without being able to recognize that a compressor is working. Warm and soft. I do not use any shape effects as the compressor gives me best clean natural pre-amp. The led meter are perfect to set the right gain.

wollte ich mir den elysia "nur mal amhören" und bekam auch prompt einen Rückläufer zum Neupreis zugesandt (wie an der zerfetzt geöffneten Plastikhülle unschwer zu erkennen war). Aber der Klang und die Möglichkeiten des Skulpter sind hervorragend und in den gebotenen Funktionen in einem Gerät verfügt er m. E. über ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal. Er wird hier im Studio für Vocal- und Guitar-Recordings eingesetzt und macht einen exzellenten Job. Der bleibt hier!

Must Have For The Studio

I got a pair of Skulpters for recording synths and keyboard sounds. My first experience with them was in another recording studio which had a pair for drum overheads and i really liked how open they sounded on the overheads. Took a bit of time to research on the features and realised that for such a tiny unit it comes feature-packed!

1. Beautiful lo-cut filter which just works
2. Two different saturation shape knobs to for tone shaping on instruments and vocals
3. In-built VCA compressor which sounds great on anything you put it through

The demonstration on the Elysia youtube page really did help solidify the reason for buying a pair and I think I'll keep them for a long time. I had an issue with the Comp indicator LED which remained lit for a short while when my lunchbox was on but it slowly dimmed off after a while. Ingo from Elysia recommended that I send it back for repair and even though they didn't find any fault with the internal components they kindly replaced the LED light for me. Took about 2 months to get it back but Thomann and Elysia was extremely helpful with the after service given that I'm actually halfway around the world.

For those who are looking for a solid workhorse the Skulpter is something to consider. Just as a side note, it's a bright preamp! So if you are looking to pair it with a dark-sounding microphone it will work perfectly.
