I feel the whistle is out of tune the whole time. The pennywhistle looks nice, and it feels nice when you play it, however.. i cannot really play this one well because it just does not sound good. II don't give it the worst overal rating because you can't argue for the price. But..in my opinion, its not usable. It always sound like you just started playing it... It however... is useful if you want to use it as a "bad" instrument. Which is, sometimes exactly what I want. So for me its not too un-useful in that respect, but don't expect beautiful melodies

Handig in gebruik

Ik gebruik al een tijdje de Clarke D-Major. In combinatie met deze Whistle is het een zeer welkome aanschaf.
Het volume bij Clarke whistles is wat minder. Maar prima op te lossen met microfoon.

I love Tin Whistles.
They are fine little Instruments, easy to learn to play and must not be very expensive.
The truth is, one of the cheapest are one of the best.
The Clarkes are surley one of them and every collector should have Clarkes

The Clarke Tin whistle in C is in the shape and key of the first Clarkes (the first tin whistles ever) roled tin with a wooden block in the mouthpiece but they are painted beautifull in black and with golden diamonds on it

Together with the "original clakes victorian in d" they are the most original whistles one can buy

Don?t worry about the low prize, you will get a real and good instrument. These Tin whistle are no toys and you can make real music on it

strongly recommend this whistle for beginners and advanced players/collectors
or better get 2, one for you and one as a present ;-)

My favorite brand of tin whistle

If you need a tin whistle, the clarkes penny whistle is the one. Theres a reason this brand has been around for generations. Sure there are more expensive whistles out there, but if you’re a casual player, you can’t go wrong with clarkes. It has a wooden mouthpiece which gives its distinctive smooth tone.

Pros.. bargain price, beautiful tone and nicely designed
Cons.. for a tin whistle, NONE.
