Erg goede 7 snaar voor een zeer scherpe prijs!

Het is wonderlijk hoe ze voor zo weinig geld zo'n goede gitaar kunnen maken. Neck through, superfijne matte finish, geen scherpe fretranden, dikke humbuckers (maar wel een klein beetje muddy), redelijk licht van gewicht maar met een goede balans zowel op schoot als aan een strap.
En vooral de Grover tuners zijn een genot om te gebruiken. Of eigenlijk, je hoeft ze niet vaak te gebruiken, haha! Want deze gitaar houdt zijn stemming heel erg goed. En door de langere mensuur (27 inch) heb je een perfect strakke B snaar (of in mijn geval een A snaar gezien ik een volledige noot lager stem). Deze extra lengte was eventjes wennen maar niks waar je je druk om hoeft te maken. Het speelt als een trein en is natuurlijk gemaakt voor waanzinnig snelle low tuned metal. De humbuckers zijn lekker, maar een beetje modderig. Dit is best op te lossen door wat met je versterker eq te spelen trouwens, maar wel de moeite om even te vermelden dacht ik.
Al met al zeker tevreden met deze gitaar, en doet niets onder voor duurdere zeven snarige gitaren van de gerennomeerde merken als Ibanez en dergelijke. Complimenten voor Harley Benton, top instrument voor weinig centjes!

Build quality and how the guitar feels are very good.

Frets are very, very scratchy. Prepare to polish them.
No sharp frets!
2nd fret might be to high...

Tuners are not great, there is some play in some. They are locking but no oil bath.
I can see the gears, the photos are somewhat misleading I think.
Photos of the control knobs are not correct, because they follow the contour of the body, they are are not parallel to each other and look rather crooked.
Also the domes are metal but the inserts around the poles are not gleud in the domes and come loose when removing the knobs.
Fretboard has some gleu overspills. It looks very dry.
Paint finish is very good, only 2 sandgrains in the stealth black finish.
Small mistake on the faux neck binding towards the body. Nothing mayor.
Very comfortable body shape and neck contour. No neck dive, not a heavy guitar ,thankfully Easy to play, action perfect for me, relief in the neck needs to be adjusted a little. Came perfectly intonated!
Needs new strings, I recommend 62-10 set, although 27 inch scale length, 59-10 was to light for me.

Pickups sound basic. Not bad, enough output, en different enough from each other. Not muddy and not bright either.
I like them enough for now.

Came very well packaged! Big plus!
Cable and hexkey included.

For the money a very good choice,
Can and has to be upgraded at one point.
Needs a bit of work polishing the frets.
The tuners were an unexpected let down.

I still recommend this guitar! With some work and upgraded tuners and pickups etc, it wil be exceptionally good!

Super gitaar voor zijn prijs

Heb hem nu toch al een tijdje en moet zeker niet onderdoen voor bekendere merken, je krijgt gewoon zeer veel voor een klein prijsje.
Een aanrader dus!

I reviewed the guitar on youtube..i know links are not allowed here. but look for "cory mura" on youtube and you will get a lot of informations and sounds about this guitar.thx.

i received the guitar with a good setup,lowered it a little bit...perfect. no dead spots,excellent.
the first thing you notice is the very cool look. agressive but stylish. the finish is something i would describe as "semi-satin"..it still got some shine to it but is satin.
the pickups look almost like BKPs and got much clarity and can handle the 7th string very nice...all 7 strings sounds balanced and can give you nice cleans and work extremely well with gain.
my guitar weights 3.5kg is balanced on my leg and on a strap..no neck dive.
the whole construction is something you wouldnt expect in this price range. the neck-through design is something you will want on every guitar from now on. you can reach the 24th fret without any problems.
i could go on and on here.
so: highly recommended guitar...this machine here competes with everything double the price and higher imo.
dont get fooled by the price tag!
some tiny problems in finish around the neck/body area like always,thats it. i gave it 4 stars in features because most HBs nowadays come with coil split...these pickups here are splittable but they didnt use it...but thats picky.
