Tech 21 SansAmp FlyRigPL1 Paul Landers

I tried the pedal directly on PA, in return of my amp and with headphones.
At the time I use it for rehearsal in return of my amp, combined with NS Boss. Used in this way is a little bit noisy. In fact is designed to be used directly in PA and no NS needed. Soundwise, is KILLER!!! Can be tweeked very easy from clasic rock sounds to metal.
I like both channels, with their features.
I fully recommend you to try.
I made the right choice when I decided to buy.
Is what you need for a good sound. I managed to fit in the mix, easily.
Pros: perfect choice if you want fast setup for concerts, if need a lightweight rig without compromising the sound, back up for your gear, to practice late night with headphones,
"Cons": I wish to had a chorus inside :)

I love PL1 Fly Rig! Ive got also Line6 Helix, but PL1 is much better in direct solutions (PA/speakers/headphones). Helix sounds good, but its really hard to get sound wich works perfect in home and in the band context (for ex. ive got 5 clones of this same presets, each one with totally another eq freqs)... with PL1 this all diffuculties just gone! It sounds perfect with this same settings and it doesnt matter that you are plugged in mixer, PA or headphones! Zero latency and cool ambient knob - this things make me fell like im playing real tube amplifier! It's impossible to get same result with Helix or high quality VSTs.

Now im playing in the band only with guitar, cable, PL1... and thats it! My band mates absolutely love my current guitar sound. With PL1 buying i made best decision that i could!

Important!: DONT LISTEN TO YOUTUBE SNIPPETS! It sound a way way way way better in real! On some YT snippets PL1 sounds plastic-like and the reason is that this guys set level knob to some about 10%. If you turn level to about 12 o'clock you will get huge sound with fantastic balanced midranges.

A holy grail in physically tight and time-limited LIVE applications as well as much larger venues if You will. Your beloved sound anywhere, literally anywhere with Your headphones on and/or sitting behind Your DAW. Have a HEADRUSH - it is cool to play around and lose Yourself in a gazillion of effects, spend endless hours to dial in Your perfect sound with trillions of IR's. This tiny little MONSTER does it in seconds over and over again. Just love it 100%.

Nun, der erste Eindruck, ( Sound ), war nicht gerade überzeugend! Aber,beim 2. Versuch ,da gings dann richtig ab und zur Sache. Man muss sich echt Zeit nehmen um das Ding zu verstehen und um die Möglichkeiten herauszukitzeln. Von wegen es eignet sich hauptsächlich nur für direkt ins Pult , das kann ich überhaupt nicht bestätigen! Richtig fette Sounds auch direkt vor den Amp geschaltet. Gut ablesbare Anzeigen , sehr genauer Tuner und allgemein gut überschaubar. Ich hätte mir gewünscht das Punch, Bite und Mid - Shift etwas größer angebracht wären , so das sie per Fuß schaltbar sind.
Auch sollte man unbedingt das mitgelieferte Netzteil verwenden. Ich habe den Fehler gemacht und das Teil zuerst in eine Effektkette eingebunden und es aus der Kette heraus mit Strom versorgt. Das Resultat war Brummen und Rauschen. Dann mit dem orign. Netzteil ,separat betrieben ,waren sämliche Brumm und Nebengeräusche verschwunden,trotz weiteren Pedalen davor und dahinter geschaltet. Prima finde ich auch den Kopfhörerausgang mit dem lautloses Spielen in heimischer Umgebung ,störfrei für Andere gegeben ist.
Für Anfänger, finde ich, ist es nicht unbedingt geeignet.
Der Preis ist etwas überzogen , trotz Features , Verpackung und Beigaben. ( da wird wohl Paul einen guten Anteil dran einsacken )
Aber Alles in Allem ein tolles Teil , das ich Jedem empfehlen kann der viele Gigs , oder Studio Sessions spielt. Ich möchte es mittlerweile nicht mehr missen.

Nun,mittlerweile musste ich das Teil zum 2. Mal einschicken und die Garantie in Anspruch nehmen!
Grund: Umschalten auf Tunermodus war von jetzt auf nachher nicht mehr möglich,bzw.der Tuner funktionierte nicht mehr und im Boost - Betrieb traten unschöne,störende Nebengeräusche auf.
Da sollte Tech21 unbedingt eine Nachbesserung anstreben!
