Effortless cables of all lengths. The construction of the jack pieces is excellent. Making straight-end cables is super fast, and it is only a little more fiddly to set them angled. I got these partly just for board planning, and it's great to just experiment with different neat setups without having to commit to soldering a cable. Even now that I'm ready to set and forget my board, I see no reason to replace some of the cables I've made as I am getting no noise at all and no noticeable degradation in signal.
In fact, I will order another set of these just so that I have a load of spares for any time I need to experiment or just make a fast replacement cable if a soldered cable fails.
I'm very pleased and see no cons.

Perfect neat solution for a pedalboard

The cable + plugs are good quality - very neat plugs with a small footprint and a choice of angled/straight orientation. It's very easy to make up the leads. They made a neat job of wiring up a small pedalboard.

The only downside is that before the cables are made up, the screws in the plugs have nothing to bite on and are prone to working loose and dropping out, so you have to be careful not to lose them when opening the packaging. Once the cables are made up there is no problem, they are very solid.

Pedalboard building made easy!

Rockboard solderless patch cables have been used on all my boards for years now and have never let me down!

The little grub screw is a bit fiddly but apart from that these are the best solderless patch cables around in my opinion.

halbwegs (un)brauchbare Kabel nach enormer Zeitinvestition

Patchkabel in passenden Längen zu einem tolerierbaren Preis, das zumindest hatte ich mir beim Kauf vorgestellt. Bisher hatte ich meist die EBS Flachkabel in ungefähr richtiger länge gekauft, die dann zwischen 6 - 12 € liegen, da dachte ich 5 Kabel passender länge für ca. 8 € je Kabel wäre ein guter Deal....

Mein Feedback ist wie folgt:

Wer Kabel mit geradem Stecker basteln will der kann hier zugreifen, auch wenn man beim Verschrauben des Kabels auch hier etwas glück haben muss, dass die zu langen Schrauben sich nicht durch die Kabelisolation fressen und einen Kurzschluss im Kabel verursachen.

Wer Kabel mit 90° Stecker sucht, der benötigt zu 100% ein Multimeter, um das Kabel nach dem Verschrauben auf Kurzschluss zu prüfen (in meinem Fall lag die Chance auf Kurzschluss durch eine Schraube, die sich durch die Isolierung gefressen hat bei ca. 50%), denn ohne das kann man mindestens jedes zweite Kabel nicht nutzen. Dieses Problem (das sich nur duch wiederholtest Probieren lösen lässt) gepaart mit dem unfassbar fummeligen und Fingerzerstörenden Zusammenstecken und Verschrauben führt unweigerlich zur Ablehung dieses Produkts.

Ich kann nur jedem ans Herz legen sich bei 90° Kabeln nach einer Alternative umzusehen, ich nehme schwer an dass die hier auf Thomann verfügbare Harley Benton Variante einfacher, sicherer und vorallem sehr viel günstiger ist.

Update nach ein paar Wochen Nutzung des Pedal-Boards: 2 der "gebastelten" Kabel haben inzwischen schon den Geist aufgegeben, weil im Stecker wie oben beschrieben die Mantelung des Kabels durch die Schraube geschädigt wurde und ein Kurzschluss entstanden ist. Wirklich traurig.... Habe mir heute Ersatzkabel bestellt, sowas darf einfach nicht passieren.
