Yet more witchcraft from Blackmagic
If you need a scaling solution that will be a fit an forget item then this must certainly be high on your list. Other products are available that you can log into to adjust your settings but that's not what needed so I saved my money and plumped for an Updowncross.
Like the other Blackmagic solution that I own this unit runs hot. Not burn yourself on it hot but hot enough you wouldn't want to unplug it and put it in your pocket. Consider this when thinking about placement.
The dip switches were clear and easy to set. I plugged up my source and low and behold the output was at my desired resolution. The picture was as good as expected. I didn't pass any audio through the unit so can't vouch for that.
I ordered form Thomann during the Covid lockdown as I'd been let down by other suppliers. The ordering process seems to be unaltered and delivery took 5 days from Germany to the UK.
I rarely leave feedback but the whole process was so smooth that I felt I should this time.

Multiple Formats simply converted
Makes life a whole lot easier when connecting different sources to my BMD Atem 1/me. Including Level A Level B incompatibility!

Great quality and rock solid output. Useability could be better.
Once set up as you want it. this device is perfect - flawlessly converting formats. Great build quality too. If your use case is fit and forget then it's flawless.
If you carry it around as a general problem solver and have to grapple with the DIP switches then it can be frustrating working out what's on and what's off on the settings diagram screen-printed on the case. Could so easily be solved - although ideally it would have individual switches for resolution, frame rate, interlacing, etc.

excellent magical box
This is an excellent inexpensive box to convert any video signal. It magically transforms you signal to whatever you want.

Great converter
These are great get out of jail tool box converters for virtually any resolution to any resolution but note, there's no scaling included
