Top Quality Drum Bags

In my opinion these are the best drum bags on the market. I decided to buy after sometime considering alternatives from Protection Racket and Ahead. I also looked at Hard cases. The Gewa Sps range combines the benefits of a bag with the strength of a hard case. they are well padded and each case has a scuff resistant base with reinforced sides and top. They have a riveted aluminium address label that should last the life of the bag. The drums fit really well and a nice touch is the drum size embroidered on the outside of each case.

Ich bin komplett umgestiegen von Hardcases auf die Gewa SPS Bags. Solange ich meine Trommeln nur im eigenen Kfz transportiere und diese nicht von Stagehands/Roadies geworfen werden empfinde ich die Stabilität und den Schutz völlig ausreichend. Dazu sind die Taschen innen sehr schön gepolstert.

Hervorragend empfinde ich auch die Griffe und Tragegurte. Im Zweifelsfall habe ich Beckentasche, Snaretasche und zwei Toms sowie die Sticktasche auf einmal am Mann. Damit passt man zwar durch keine Tür mehr, aber man spart sich den einen oder anderen Gang. Für die DW Trommeln mit dem STM Mount sind auch alle Größen direkt passend. Das 12er Tom passt als in das 12er Bag und ich muss hier kein 13er Bag nehmen. Einzig beim 18er Floortom wirds ein wenig eng.

Prima ist auch das große (lange) Hardware-Bag. Seitdem muss ich meine Hihatmaschine nicht mehr auseinanderbauen...

Diese Taschen sind wirklich gold wert.

Sie sind stabil wie Cases aber trotzdem nicht so hart und besser handlebar. Dies hat gleich mehrere Vorteile. So wird zum Beispiel nicht wie bei vielen Hardcases das Interieur des Autos in Mitleidenschaft gezogen wenn in Kurven doch etwas Bewegung in die Ladung kommt. Durch die Steifigkeit der Bags aber entfällt das taschentypische "Rumgewurschtel" beim einpacken, eine Bassdrum lässt sich problemfrei alleine einpacken ohne das man mühselig die Ränder hochhalten (lassen) muss.

Die Reißverschlüsse sind stabil und dick, aber haben natürlich das typische Problem eines Reißverschlusses,dass man ihn oft gerade ziehen muss,wenn die Tasche unter Spannung steht. Das Innenfutter ist mehr als ausreichend und schützt für den eigenen Bedarf locker gegen jegliche Art von Stößen im Eigentransport. Fazit: Wer keine Roadies hat, die die Klamotten vom LKW schmeißen, der ist mit diesen Bags völlig ausreichend bedient!
