Best to spend a bit more and get something better

I would advise you to avoid this one, spend a bit more and get a quality humbucker.

I bought this for my project guitar just to see what a 25e humbucker is. Well, you get what you pay for.

The package contains the humbucker, a plastic mount, two screws and springs. No wiring diagram included. Properly packaged in bubble wrap. A plastic sheet on top of the humbuckers as a cover.

The humbucker has three wires: white, blue and bare. The quality of these wires is pretty horrendous. You can literally pull them apart with your fingers. The white and red wires are both just 4 strains of thin wire enclosed in a standard plastic tube. You can see that the build quality is cheap and soldering these was a pain.

I decided to desolder this as I don't really want this on my guitar next to the beautiful Seymour Duncan SSL-1's I bought earlier.

I would advise you to spend a bit more and get a proper humbucker. You'll be glad you did.

Quite a well made pickup

The pickup it resembles P. A. F. by its construction and used parts, but is much hotter than a traditional P. A. F. The magnet is ceramic, not AlNiCo. The pickup measures around 15kΩ and is quite similar to Duncan SH-5. Good parts were used. Measurements are metric. The baseplate is made of some kind of alpacca or cupronickel. I think that for this price it is impossible to get a better made pickup.

Great upgrade for a cheap guitar

Changed the bridge pickup of my BulletStart with this and its so much better than stock. Its very sensitive for dynamics. Pinch harmonics are not the easiest to get with it.
There is visible hot glue on the top and bottom between the two coils. Or it may be wax from the potting, i'm not sure. Not the prettiest thing, but it will not impede played.
Package was nice secure. No way this gets damaged in shipment.

I'd love for a neck version if this pickup. I will buy it in an instant.

I'm impressed!!! Again!!!

Bought this humbucker for a guitar i made so i can't compare with different pickups on the same guitar. All i know is that the second the first note came out of my guitar, it would stay within my arms for a long long time! Nice clear sound if you like it clean and grungy sound if you pump it up. I am not a pro and dont have extensive knowledge but frankly it sounds real good. Didn't try on stage yet but i am sure it's perfect like any other good guitar. You guys can take it eyes closed! And enjoy!!
