No more annoying twists and kinks!
Having previously used cheaper, non-proprietary snakes which seemed to become twisted & misshapen after just a handful of uses, on the guidance of an experienced tour engineer friend I invested in a couple of these snakes.
After around 20 live shows so far, they are in exactly the same perfect condition as when they came out of the box (bar the expected stage dust) and coil effortlessly at the end of every night.
Additionally, I've noticed that the quality of the XLR ends is well above average so that each connection is made with a satisfying and reassuring click.
The final touch, whilst simple, is very well received - the snake is fitted with a Velcro strap to tie up the snake without need of electric tape.

it works
as good as a cable can be,, it works or it doesn't, and mine still works so im very happy

Sturdy cable - used for lights
Having just set up and bought a tonne of stuff for our PA - we've accquired a bunch of XLR cables from different manufacturers. This one is used for our lights and the length offered for the price is great.
The cable itself feels sturdy- the connectors too, although I had to tighten them up when unpacking, this is normal given the time in transit.
Out of interest, I used this for my monitor pack across the full length of the room, the audio quality was as good as that experienced from some of the higher end cables in our system. I'd recommend buying several of these - excellent!

Very cost effective
Initially we bought a few of these for a single event after establishing many of our mic cables didn?t do DMX reliably.
We found these coiled just as well, and worked just as well as a much more expensive competitor?s product. Our main reservation is that the connectors aren?t top of the range, but at the price we can afford to carry many many spares, so we do.
We liked them so much we bought a lot of them in different sizes.
Even at minimum wage we can?t make DMX cables this cheap and I am not entirely sure we can repair the shorter ones for less than they cost.

Nice and compact
We use these cables in our mobile lighting setup.
It's smaller crossection makes them easy to adjust and strap to our stands, and all black blends in nicely with the rest of the rig.
Decent quality connectors.

Does the job, but could be better.

Needed a lengthy DMX to go between two sets of bar lights so they can sync up correctly. This is a hefty 20m and does the job just fine. The cable quality feels ok, and the connectors also will cope with stage rigours as they are metal rather than part metal part plastic. This does what I hoped it would do.

One year in and no issues
We use these cables every week in our church. It's been a year and the signal clarity is as good as day one. It's a good sign as we have lots of volunteers who tend to throw them around a bit.
