Good value solution on a budget
As most psingers will tell you, there are few things more pleasant than a fresh pop-shield or grille on a microphone. Since it happens very slowly, it can be hard to spot the gradual deterioration in frequency response as a mic grille becomes worn, bashed and clogged with years of punk spit and dust.
Simply changing these from time to time can add a considerable amount of lifespan onto your mic collection, even if you are dropping one from vocal duty to, say, snare or guitar amp. It freshens up the top end frequencies as well as making for an all round more pleasant experience for anyone forced to get their mouth close to it.

Beware
Be careful when replacing the grille. I followed the instructions but somehow the old grille got stuck which led to the diaphragm being damaged. Afterwards I found a Youtube video demonstrating a much easier way to detach it. Apparently, this has happened to a lot of people. Shure should update their instructions. (I have experience repairing various electronics and building mic's, so I'd argue that it wasn't just me being clumsy).

Remplacement pour SM57
Remplacement nickel pour Shure SM57.
Ma grille précédente était rouillée et la mousse était moisie (dû à un usage intense en concert et répètes).
Cette grille remplace parfaitement la précédente.
Il faut juste être prudent en la plaçant (et en enlevant la grille précédente d'ailleurs).

Great original part
Although fiddly to fit on, this genuine Shure replacement part does come with fitting instructions, and brings your SM57 back into good working order. I recommend patience!
