Terrible set up for a beginner guitar

My guitar arrived with the intonation so badly set up that it was more than a semitone out of tune at the 12th fret. The action, neck bow, and overall playability was brutal. Fixing this is a huge task and is best done by a luthier. I would not recommend this guitar at all. A real disappointment if this is what Taylor guitars has become.

Fantastic beginner instrument

This guitar is fantastic to play. The beveled armrest is very comfortable, the sound is very robust for such a low price. Great instrument for if you are just starting to learn to play, and also very fun to play for more experienced musicians. The finish is matte which makes it look a bit "frugal" but the first chord will tell you this is such a quality instrument. Highly recommended.

Endlich! Wie es scheint wurden meine Gebete von den Taylor'schen Gitarrenbauern erhört! Eine bezahlbare Akustikgitarre mit Nylonseiten, ohne optischen und technischen Schnick-Schnack, aber mit raffinierten Gadgets, wie Armauflage und einer Kurzfinger-kompatiblen Sattelbreite mit dem Fokus auf: "Sound".
Die Verarbeitung außen ist erstklassig, aber innen leider nur naja.... Vielleicht bin ich hier etwas streng, aber ausgequollene Leimreste im inneren des Korpus müssten nicht unbeding sein. Auch riecht die Gitarre anfangs sehr nach Holzleim. Dies verfliegt aber nach ein paar Tagen.

Der Sound ist herrlich klar. Kein Vergleich zu meinen bisherigen Akustikgitarren, welche allerdings auch im niedigeren Preissegment angesiedelt waren.
Mein persönliches Highlight ist die die Sattelbreite. Ich habe mit 50 und 52 mm so meine lieben Probleme einen einigermaßen vernünftigen Barree zustande zu bringen. Mit dieser Gitarre - kein Problem.

Das minimalistische Design lenkt den Blick auf die Armauflage, welche die Gitarre zu einem besonderen Hingucker macht. Diese schaut nicht nur super aus, sondern sorgt auch dafür, dass sich die Gitarre sehr angenehm spielen lässt.

Fazit: Einge Alltagsgitarre die richtig Spaß macht!

Taylor du pauvre, mais un joli son et un très bon manche.

Plus:
- Guitare petite et légère.
- Aucun défaut de fabrication.
- Touche et chevalet en ébène.
- Bonnes mécaniques.
- Manche parfait pour moi: 48mm de large, profil C plat, avec truss rod.
- Joli timbre (mais pas celui d?une guitare classique). Son assez puissant.

Moins:
- Moche: vernis assez grossier, pas de binding.
- Clé de réglage de truss rod non fournie.
- Le chanfrein « ergonomique » sur l?éclisse est un gadget ne servant à rien si le joueur est un adulte.
- Cordes un peu trop hautes, à régler donc en agissant sur le sillet et/ou le truss rod.

Je recommande cette guitare aux joueurs de fingerpicking qui veulent élargir leur palette sonore. Je ne la recommande pas pour jouer du classique. Pour les autres styles: bossa, jazz, flamenco, etc, je ne prononcerai pas.
