Well, It`s not the first sitar I`ve ever use but this one is hardest to use. It`s almost imposible to tune it. The "wooden" reeds are horrible and made with - I don`t know - palm tree or some stuff like that. Additional resonator is made with an epoxy resin!!! I`m affrid to ask what is the rest made of! One of the frets fell off because it wasn't tied enough. When I tried to tune sympathetic string, right away I`ve broke one (below right tune). The overall finish leaves much to be desired. Instrument is presented as professional - really?

Nice instrument

The sitar is generally well made, sounds and looks very nice. Although he has a big problem with sympathetic strings, they get out of tune quickly and break easily. Tuning pegs are quite nice, they keep tuning up to 2/3 hours of play time. But taking the instrument the next day you have to tune it a little. Acoustically, this sitar sounds very beautiful, but as I mentioned it has a few problems. However, in this price range, I think it is worth trying as a starting point for your sitar adventure!

I have never handled or played an Indian sitar before so I have no means of comparison with similar instruments. The sound is good but rather sharp on the higher notes. The top string needs to be very tight as it untunes when meends are played. So far I am enjoying this journey with a new music genre.

Ein absolutes Klangerlebnis

Das Warten auf dieses wunderschöne Instrument hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Der Transport war sicher und alles sehr gut verpackt gewesen, sogar ein indisches Tuch zum Abwischen von Staub, sowie einen kompletten Satz Saiten wurden beigefügt. Die Sitar selbst ist einfach super. Ihr Sound ist brillant und klar, ihre Range im gesamten Klang ist wirklich sehr fett, alle Töne der einzelnen Saiten kommen schwirrend hervor, so wie es sein muss. Es macht richtig Spaß sie täglich zu spielen und sie beeindruckt mich immer wieder aufs Neue. Ich kann dieses Instrument einfach nur jedem weiterempfehlen, der Bock darauf hat, etwas komplett Neues und Unkonventionelles auszuprobieren. Ich bin total überwältig und dafür gibt es auch alle Sterne!
